| For every four Pieces of Heart Link gains, he will receive an extra heart container. Link can also win full heart containers after defeating each boss of the various temples. All these Pieces and the full heart containers from the bosses will completely fill up Link's twenty heart containers. The Pieces available only as a child are gray; thos only avaoilable as an adult are in white; those that are either are red. |
| Lost Woods 1. Play the Ocarina Matching game three times to win a Piece of Heart. 2. Play Saria's Song to the lonely Skull Kid. Hyrule Field 3. Between the fences near the entrance to Lake Hyrule, bomb open a secret grotto and pay 10 rupees to a business scrub. 4. Dive to the bottom of the stream west of Hyrule Castle. Hyrule Castle Town 5. If you play Bombachu Bowling enough times, you'll eventually win a Piece of Heart. 6. Return the lady's dog to her (it must be nighttime; she lives in the alleyway) 7. Win the Treasure Box game. If you want an easy way to do this, use the Lens of Truth. The game is only open at nighttime. Lon Lon Ranch 8. Look in the back corner of Lon Lon Ranch for a door in the wall. Inside, shift some crates around until you have found a hole in the corner. Crawl through for your prize. Kakariko Village 9. After racing Dampe for the first time, grab the Piece of Heart in the wndmill room before dropping to the floor. 10. Longshot up to the man on the roof of the house just below the windmill. He is wont for visitors. 11. After killing 50 Golden Skulltula, head to the Skulltula house for a nice prize. 12. There is a hole on the wall in the cucoo pen. As an adult, just jump up to it from the wood pile. As a child, Link must catch a ride from the owl on top of the Death Mountain trail (beyond the climbing wall). He will be dropped off on this ledge. Kakariko Graveyard 13. Take the Grave Digging Tour (read the sign for the times); if you're lucky you'll find a nice prize without spending too much money. 14. Pull open the unmarked grave and play the Sun's Song inside. 15. After planting a bean in the soft ground as a child, hop on to the fully grown plant as an adult for a ride to a crate. Bash it open. 16. Finish Dampe's race in under one minute (which is extremely difficult). Death Mountain Trail 17. Hop to the ledge over Dodongo's Cavern (bean plant or a long fall) Goron City 18. Light all the torches in the downstairs of the city with fire from Darunia's room. This will set the central statue spinning. Land a bomb in it's center and watch the fireworks. Death Mountain Crater 19. Go as far up as you can in the crator. Now climb (slowly) down the wall towards the lava. You'll find a cut-out in the rock where a Piece of Heart is ripe for the taking. 20. Plant a seed as a child (you'll have to be quick about getting in and out before you suffocate or burn alive or something), then hop on the plant as an adult to ride to better health. Zora's River 21. Win the Bug-Catching Game to make all the frogs big. 22. Play the Song of Storms to the frogs (you have to do this one as a child, but only after you've become an adult). 23. Catch a ride from a chicken to a platform not too far from the entrance of the River. 24. Take the same chicken up to the platform near Zora's Domain. Zora's Domain 25. Light the four torches on the way downstairs in Zora's Domain from the King's audience chamber, then race behind the waterfall for a treasure chest. Zora's Fountain 26. Hop on the iceburg near the outside wall. 27. Using your Iron Boots and Zora Tunic, take a walk around the bottom of the Fountain. Ice Cavern 28. In the room where you got the Compass, melt some red ice to find a Piece of Heart. Lake Hylia 29. Catch a 10 lb fish in the Fishing Game for a nice prize. 30. Plant a bean near the Laboratory as a child, then hop to the top of the building as an adult. 31. Touch the bottom of the tank in the Lakeside Laboratory by diving (you'll need the Golden Scale). Gerudo Valley 32. While standing on the bridge, you'll notice a crate on a ledge. Get out your Longshot to see what's inside. 33. By using a bean you planted as a child, ride to the cut-out behind the waterfall for a Piece of Heart. Gerudo Fortress 34. Hookshot over to the treasure chest on top of the buildings. 35. Get at least 1,000 points in the Horseback Archery Range. Desert Colossus 36. Plant a bean as a child, then ride to the top of the stone archway near the entrance to the Spirit Temple. |
