This series will suck the life out of you. No joke. You're thinking, oh, eleven books, okay; I've seen series with longer. But you don't understand. There is a never-ending cast of characters, each book is about a thousand pages, and before you can read the new books you have to reread all the old ones just to figure out what was going on with the million threads of story lines.

Okay, I haven't given anything positive yet, which is certainly not my intention with this series. Robert Jordan is an incredibly and phenomenally talented author who has created an incredibly believable world full of real and tangible characters and places. I have unfathomable respect for this writer and wish I could give birth to something half so real as his world. However, the series is dense, heavy, and the most epic of epic fantasies I have ever known. For its lovable characters, attention to detail, beautiful writing style, and epic proportions, I give this series a solid A.
