As assistant prosecutor, I worked closely with then-Lieutenant Don Diamond of the Stark County Metropolitan Narcotics Unit. We never lost or plea bargained one drug case. I also personally prosecuted from grand jury to jury trial defendents for crimes including  arson, sex offenses, homicides, robbery and assaults. I lost two (2) trials in two (2) years.  Every other case I handled resulted in a plea to the indictment or a jury verdict of guilty. EVERY SINGLE ONE! I handled in excess of 100 felony cases.

I represented the Board in Stark County Common Pleas Count and in the Fifth District Court of Appeals in zoning matters. I attended over 1000 Board of Trustees meetings, executive sessions, Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, zoning appeals to the Board of Trustees hearings, proceedings as prosecutor for the removal of delinquent fire personnel.  I was the township representative at numerous county meetings with the Stark County Prosecutor, County Auditor and Budget Commission, and with the county sheriff in contract negotiations. I was legal advisor to the board, Zoning Inspector, Fire Chief, and Road Superintendent. I successfully defended the township in two (2) annexation matters brought by the city of Alliance. However, our adversarial relationship with Alliance changed to a cooperative relationship in the last years I was at Lexington. We established an enterprise zone and a Joint Economic Development District (JEDD). I assisted with that process.
