Communities
Blogger - Leading the blog revolution is Pyra Media Labs, the people behind Blogger, the tool that lets ANYBODY blog, making the Internet what it was created to be, a forum of angst, information, and repository of information, regardless if you want the information or not.

Nerve - We're no longer dominated by Victorian values of decency and discreetness. Sex is as free as it was in the '60s, albeit with more options for contraception. And who said that that has to be a bad thing? Kids, videos shown in gym class may tell you how life is created, but for those people wanting the extra credit and the real low-down on sex and life, Nerve is there for you.

Planetout / Gay.com- The same way Miami and San Francisco, not to mention New York, grew into the gay metropolises that they are as hubs and centres of gay life, Planetout and Gay.com have become, somehow, the Internet hubs for the gay lifestyle. Since merging, their content is pretty much the same, but both offer the services of chats, personals, articles, and not to mention a barrage of ads for gay-friendly paraphernalia.

Mogenic - Okay, what's a gay boy to do when he's feeling oppressed by the hetero lifestyle and people who just don't understand? Some would say hop on the Internet and go into gay chat rooms and sign onto gay web communities. But the truth is, most of the gay content is geared towards OLDER gay boys. But this Australia-based web community, Mogenic, is geared towards the below 25 age group. No more age discrimination!

XY - XY started as a magazine targeting the most underlooked age group in the gay community: young teens. Fighting the lack of ad sponsors, XY has grown into a phenomenon as thousands, if not millions of gay bois out there can now share their experiences and contribute support for one another, allowing a new generation of gay bois grow up without fear.
Deviantart - Are you an artist? Are you a writer? Are you a social or artistic or cultural devaint? Then you should feel right at home in this community for artists on the web.

Comics
Boy Meets Boy - Okay, so I'm not a big fan of online comic strips. And I forgo the popular Penny Arcade. One strip that has still kept my attention is Boy Meets Boy, covering the zany lives of a queer couple who couldn't be any more different, and their friends, family, and landlord who's the daughter of Satan!

News Sites
Slashdot - Okay, I admit that i have an inner nerd inside of me. or maybe just an insatiable black hole for information about technology, geek culture, and somethign that may be on my desktop one day. Slashdot. News for Nerds. Stuff That Matters.
Salon - This is the site I check everyday for news about the world, our government, and just things that may affect me. The premier online magazine, Salon is MY choice over CNN.

Sites That Caught My Fancy
Ladies United for the Protection of Endangered Cocktails (LUPEC) - Nothing is better than drinking with friends, and the ladies of LUPEC have made it official by creating an organization that gives a reason to meet and drink at least once a month. Their highlights are the monthly theme parties, and the lore of cocktails they dispense on their web-site. Almost makes me jealous.
Generation Rice - An e-zine targeting the asian-american community, Generation Rice offers excellent writing, design, and information for other asian-americans.
PEELING - The site for an asian-american theater group in New York, their site is wonderfulyl designed, but since I have yet to see one of their performances, I have somethign on the agenda the next time I go to NYC.
