These are my OM-related pictures. I have pictures of all my World Medals and some OM pictures from my high school yearbook.
Here's my business card:
Here is a scan of my first World Ranatra Fusca Medal from 1987 (Chain Reaction, Division II). There is a good explanation for its haggard appearance. It no longer has a ribbon because the ring holding it on to the ribbon broke about 15 seconds after I got it as I was running back to my seat. Also, the shiny metal coating began to chip off a few hours later, so I colored the rest of it in with a gold paint pen. (Hey, I was 13 what did I know?)
Here is my Ranatra Fusca from 1992 (Atlas - Team award for our Style elements) Note again the handsome safety pin holding the medal to the ribbon.
Here is my 1994 Ranatra Fusca (Classics...The Iliad, Division IV, team award for our artifact) It still has the original ring holding the medal. After all those other rings breaking, I learned my lesson.
I also had the honor of placing Third in The Iliad in 1994. Here is my bronze medal from that same year.
Finally, the medal I got in 1990. I worked the most hours for this one. It was truly a magical year for us, and I will never forget my days in Ames, Iowa. This is my gold medal from winning first place in Seven Wonders Division III. All three North Olmsted teams at World won that year in what was (and still is) the most amazing day ever for a single OM program. Some of the gold has flaked off...probably because I wore it under my shirt in school for a week after we won and I slept with it next to me on my nightstand for a month.
Here's my OM team from my senior year in HS (picture from my yearbook).
Me being photographed without my knowledge in school.
Note the cool OM shirt BACK
