| We were sad to hear that my friend Douglas has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Douglas was one of my best friends. He had such a beatiful spirit. He was the fastest basset in the whole park, no one could catch him. He was truly a highlight of our basset walks. He loved playing with his friends. He was sweet and friendly. A great singer. He loved opera! He lived short but great life and was loved by everyone who knew him. Even though we can't see you any more, Douglas, we know you will be running beside us when we play together.
