Career choices abound, but it’s all about women, really – 15 March 2004

Women. Kept thinking about TV-personality ex-girlfriend last night. It’s always difficult because I remember all the fun times I had shagging her in that bed. I’ve not seen her for nearly three months, but the ole’ sex life has been bone dry since then and I suppose one is always obsessed with one’s last fuck. Any maybe I don’t have it so bad: Macawber hasn’t gotten laid since last June, Cato is stuck screwing Boots for the time being, and Curly can’t getting much action considering his wife is very, very pregnant.

There’s always Miss New to consider, but after coming across so hot and heavy when we first met on Friendster, she’s cooled considerably and talks with disdain of other guys who like her. Might be a dead end, although I’d greatly enjoy bending her over some of the furniture here in my flat – which is filthy given that I fired my last maid weeks ago and have nobody in since then.

As for the career search, after Holmes’s negative outlook the other night I was seriously considering laying my neck on the rails and waiting for the next KL-bound train. By now, though, the effects of two days of drinking has worn off and my spirits are in an upswing.

If copywriting doesn’t work out, there’s always web editing, which Todd has recommended and which looks interesting, as well as corporate training, although I’ve yet to speak to many people about this. I really need to relax and remind myself that I have enough change saved up to ride things out for a long, long time.

Problem is, I want to get laid. And somehow women are dubious of a guy my age (34) who doesn’t have a job and is uncertain about his next step. Anybody reading this who needs a web editor is invited to write me below.
