Dear Lord

 

Lord, as we look back upon the years

We see a life so full, we need not shed tears

Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend was he

Now given to you, its where he should be.

 

His memory lives on through the people he touched

He made us smile and laugh and we loved him very much

He’ll be with us always like the breeze on a summer day

We’ll think of him when we see little children play

 

We celebrate his life and what he has given to us

He was honest, hardworking, honorable and just

Take him in and love him with all your heart

Knowing your love, makes it easier to part.
