Alice, helped to start the First Christian Reformed Church on February 23, 1883, a month before she married Leonard. Alice's father, Henry koel (kuhl), donated a part of his farmland to the church. The first church building was built of logs on the land. The family attended this church. Alice's parents and her three sisters also belonged to this church. |
