This "tree of gold" (Tabebuia carabia) only blooms for one week out of the year. One year, the skies were blue, but the bloom wasn't so hot. The next year, the bloom was tremendous, but the skies were gray and cloudy. Combining the two creates a calendar-worthy photo.
