| He was an ordinary guy from the early 21st century. Through some means, be they magical or some other way, he was transported to a time where deamons, dragons, creatures, and magic still ruled the land. The journey made him loose his memory, so when a group of men found him and asked him who he was, he could not answer. Feeling bad about his state the men took him in. They were a coven of Druids, brothers in a faith that has long been forgotten, a faith of nature, a faith of Balance. The man being curious asked if they could teach him. They agreed but were hesitant in fully accepting this stranger. For a year he studied under them, night and day he toiled, learning their language, herbalism (both the healing and harming properties of plants and animals), their beliefs, practices, and their magic. As time passed during his teachings he became accepted due to his eagerness to learn all he could from his teachers and so the druids named him. He was named Dramauk Ekenrote, or The Keeper of the Forest.. The time came for his initiation into the coven. He had to go on a spiritual journey to learn who he was and where he drew his strength from. For one lunar cycle he had to live in the wilds, with no food or water, other than what he could find, and he was not allowed to use any magic. He was to carry no weapons, his only possession were a pair of clothing, boots, and a cloak. The night came quickly and under the watchful gaze of a full moon he left the coven and went out into the wilds. His time out there was spent in using what he had learned, all his foraging, hunting, and fishing skills were put to the test. During the day he would travel until night came, then he would find a place to camp and rest, though his rest was never peaceful. During his rest he would be haunted by visions of the future, strange creatures destroying, and people dying. Through it all he would stay and watch, but with each |

| one he saw a creature. At first it was only a dim outline, but with each night that passed it would get closer and closer, until it was finally revealed. It was a dragon of amazing beauty. It's body was the color of crimson, with gold bands running along its back and underside. The wings were the color of midnight with veins of silver running through it and along its edges. The head was patterned with Red and Gold, and it's tail with patterns of black and silver. It loomed over him and plucked him from the hellish nightmare, carrying him over the land and away from it all. On this night he woke from the dream feeling rested, the sky was still dark and the moon high when he woke, being almost full he knew it was almost over and that he had found his spirit, his strength. Stretching off the sleep, he had no time to react to the figures lurking about. The blow was swift and accurate piercing through his back and out his ribs. The thief withdrew his sword and let Dramauk fall. As Dramauk lay there his life slipping away, the vision of the dragon returned. With everything that he had left, he reached out and siezed the dragon, warmth rushed through his body, the mortal wound burned, and his eyes closed in what he thought was his last moments. His eyes reopened and he saw blue sky. He remembered nothing except that he had been attacked. Sitting up quickly he looked around and saw his camp in ruins, the gound was littered with swords and marks of what looked to be a battle. One footprint in particular caught his eye though. It was large, clawed, and he was lying in it. Standing to his feet he saw the torn and tattered limb of a man holding a sword off to one side, and a sword directly infront of him. Gather his cloak he ran off in the direction of his coven. Cresting the hill his eyes fell upon a horrible sight. Men lie dead outside their charred houses. The stream ran red with blood, and the fields and forest that surrounded the coven had been burnt to ash. Here and there was the dead body of a masked man, who held a sword like the one his attackers carried. Running down the hill he checked for survivers. Finding none, he let out a primal roar, and charged off into the burnt forest. A month pasted before he had any contact with anyone of his race, for he spent that time in the wilds trying to cope with everything that had happened. Until one day, he was bathing in a stream when he heard a man laughing and the sounds of blades clashing. Dressing quickly he rushed up over a hill and saw a man dressed in plain brown robes defending a wagon. The man weilded two kumas, and laughed as the men in masks struck at him. Seeing that the man in robes was about to be struck from behind, Dramauk let out a blast of elemental magic that struck the masked theif and sent him spinning away from the man in brown robes. The man in robes was just finishing up with the man he had been facing, when he noticed Dramauk. Nodding his thanks he disarmed the other masked theif and sent him running back into the brush. Dramauk walked down the hill to meet this strange man he had just helped. The robed man was Uvesh Tan Marik a monk who shunned his order and set about to find out his own way in the world. Uvesh thanked Dramauk and asked him to join with him for a time. Dramauk accepted feeling that he needed to break his isolation and if at all possible find the men that destroyed his home During their time together Dramauk told Uvesh of his past, at least all that he could remember of it, and what had happened. Uvesh listened with a sympathetic ear. Uvesh told Dramauk of his self imposed banishment from an order of monks that believed too much in material wealth, of his mentor that had been the leader of the order, and about how his mentor was assassinated. The two traveled together for about a year. In that time Dramauk taught Uvesh herbalism, and Uvesh taught Dramauk the fighting skills of a monk, so that he did not have to rely on his magic fully. On one of their excursions to a tavern Dramauk and Uvesh were caught in the middle of a brawl. Uvesh was struck in the back by a chair and went down hard. Dramauk gave the attacker an open palm to the chest, that caused the attacker to fly through the window. Turning around Dramauk helped Uvesh from the ground. Uvesh thanked him and shouted out to Dramauk but was too late. The blade bit deep. Again Dramauk had the vision of the dragon and again he siezed upon it. This time he remained awake and felt his body change. He felt his skin harden and saw the color darken to crimson. He felt his bones shift and grow larger, and he felt his teeth sharpen. His eyes were glowing with blue - gray fire as he spun around and grabbed the man with a clawed hand. He picked the man off his feet and tossed him, not through the hole in the window but, through the wall next to it. Uvesh took a step back amazed and everyone in the tavern stopped and stared. Uvesh grabbed Dramauk and pulled him through the new exit of the tavern. They ran off and stopped in a clearing. By this time Dramauk had calmed down and was human again. Uvesh asked him about it and Dramauk told him of the vision and of the attack in which he first changed. Uvesh nodded and told Dramauk of his own spiritual teachings, he also taught Dramauk how to control and release his spirit. Soon after Uvesh and Dramauk departed each thanking the other for all they shared. Now Dramauk wanders around keeping his faith of Nature and Balance alive. He also searches for those that murdered his coven in the hopes of restitution. Dramauk is a Druid as stated and able to perform Earth Magik. His spells are limited compared to a mages in that he can perform only things of nature. He is able to turn his body into a fog like mist, and a breeze, he can also move objects using a wind servant. He also can control the elements, earth/air/fire/water and manipulate them to best suit his needs. He is unable to transform his body into another animal, however he can change into his spiritual animal or totem which is the dragon. He is also able to turn his body into the form of a plant and gain nurishment from the earth and sun. However when in this form he is completely vulnerable to anything a plant is, fire, floods, animals, and man. Dramauk also has some innate abilities, he has fast reflexes, has the ability to regenerate, and is telepathic. Whenever his is killed in human form he instantly turns into the dragon. The dragon is as described above, a red, gold, black, and silver colored dragon that is ancient. If killed in dragon form his spirit is freed from the body and must return to the earth where the body is then reborn. |
