Another big issue I see with this guild is the lack of guild events which helps bond us even further. First off being new to this guild, (and not the first time to be new to a guild) it usually feels like you are alienated from the others that have been in a guild longer. For example and I know I did this (not on purpose) when a new guy and an vet guild member asks for help you tend to lean towards the vet guild. And its hard for new guild members to fully understand the guild or who everyone is… like for me I’m starting to get it lillee’s 4 children (which is unknown to me at this moment) is in the guild, fiain and lil is the “guild mothers” etc… I’m slowly getting it. What we did in my old guild is create an entire separate section (or topic if you want) where we post our basic info. A topic per person. And replys to the topic will be about additional info for that person both RL and in game for example for me. Topic: Clent Name: Jae Kim Age: 21 Location: NYC Occupation: Student/assistant manager at a store Future Goals: that FBI thing Toons: Clentas, Clentin Etc, etc, etc professions, etc, blah blah blah
Not a lot of people typed (crap sorry but I think I gotta add another page… lol yeah I’m just typing and not going back) this out in the forums but I did get to know a lot of people (which further made me feel bad about the breakup.. of a family). We even helped each other. I remember one time an alliance member had some RL hardships and another alliance member was a certified psychologist.. Heh yep that person got free help. Back to the topic of guild events. The arena in STV is great… we had an event known as “Fight Night” where we just pvp each other for fun (DAMN ROGUES AND THEIR SAP AND DANCE IN FRONT OF YOU MOVES… heh). We had group pvp (sadly the priests usually dies first, lol) and free for alls. We did have a few uninvited guests but that made it more fun. The only rule we had was you can attack people within a certain level range +/- 3 levels. For example a level 50 can only duel a 47 to 53. another rule that we had was not to die in the dead center of the arena.. Hard for us ressers to get to you. Another event we had was capture the hat, basically a hide and seek game. We had the hat, a person that has a specific hat on and a group of people that seeks him/her. Basically we give the hat a few mins head start to hide. We find out the general location of that person and we have about 30 minutes to find him/her. When you find that person you have to link that person’s hat in the raid chat or the event leader( usually the even officer). If the hat wins that he/she wins about 1/2 the jackpot of gold (rest goes to the guild bank for the next event.. The gold is donated from members). If the seekers find the hat then they split the entire jack pot.. For example jack pot is 10g one hat and 5 seekers… if the hat wins that person wins about 5 gold… and if the seekers win they each win 2 gold. (this is done so it kinda balances out the gold distribution yet gives more to the single hider). We also were planning a summer games.. Like a Olympic thing with RL prices (we need cash donations) such as gift cards and Ipods.. That didn’t work out since the guild broke up. Another fun even we had was the all night kegger.. Basically we bought lots of beer and get drunk in the middle of ironforge… talking about whatever.. Heh this occurred after we got our first GM his arcanite sword..i got some pics here
When the kegger was over… something happened... I know this guild had a now swearing policy but it I think (if you want) you can do something like this
