In 1984, Hyatt Aryaduta-Jakarta hired me for the 1st time as a solo pianist playing in their famous restaurant 'Le Parisien'as well as on the Ambassador Cafe. I also accompanied singer and saxophonist there, till in 1987. That year, with Sudarmadi-cellist, Ivan-Alto viol, Amir Katamsi- Contrabass, Su Yin-Violin and Atis - Violin, we formed a chamber music group and proposed it to the Hotel as there was a vacant to entertain the new renovated 'Ambassador Lounge'. The GM was Mr. Kiehl and as he liked our group, we got a limited period contract to play every afternoon on the lounge. In 1988, the fans of our group increased so that the hotel hired as well to play during morning breakfast. We were the pioneer's musicians to develop such a chamber music group entertain in Jakarta/Indonesia with various repertoires from Classical-Popular-Jazz. We arranged and wrote our own repertoires from the famous pieces of classical-popular and Jazz tunes.
We were so famous since then till in 1990, we decided to separate the group. I moved with younger musician playing in a new launched Hotel-Grand Hyatt following Mr. Kiehl new position as the 1st Grand Hyatt's GM.
