The Looting of the All 70's Suit

So I was at the bank, doing my usual thing, selling the items I had scammed recently. I noticed someone to the left of me spamming "Selling Suit I'm Wearing, Resists 70 70 69 70 70". I look at his paperdoll, envious as I was, and alas! The suit was UNINSURED! I pray to the UO gods to love me once again, and I party the guy. "Hail, sir," I said. "Hello," he replied. "I am interested in your suit, I was wondering if these items would be a worthy trade for it. Will you please follow me?" "Okay." I open the gate to my favorite spot... to the lair of my ratmen friends.
He dies. I open up the corpse and quickly loot as much as possible. Then I die. I run back through the gate I had opened, get ressurected, and open up another gate. I gather up my stuff, and bring it to the bank. Meanwhile, I'm still talking to the guy in party chat. "Why did you do that?" he asks. "Do what?" I send another gate and get the last piece of armor I missed. He realizes what I was doing, and as I'm in the bank putting the suit in, he says "You just cost me 20 mil." "How so?" I ask. "Try to guess what was in the bag." he replies. Bag? I didn't get a bag! I gate back to the ratmen and take the bag off his corpse. Inside was the rest of the armor he had made from a barbed runic kit. I disbanded the party, but not before getting the final word. "Thanks for the 20 mil!"
Then I danced merrily around and sacrificed 100 bulls for the UO gods. |
