Shoes for Kids
Because no child should have to spend a winter without shoes.
Shoes for Kids was started by Sgt. Mark Matteson in May of 2004.  Sgt. Matteson arrived in Afghanistan to find children walking barefoot in the streets, not just children playing barefoot, children without shoes.  The orphanages tell a similiar story, 300+ children, without shoes and in tattered clothes.

There are millions of children out there without shoes, together we can make a difference.

Our goal is simple:

Help our American Soldiers spread good will by putting a pair of shoes on every shoeless foot.  Currently more than 7000 pairs of shoes have been sent to our soldiers in Afghanistan and are being distributed to orphanages and schools.  Please help us help our soldiers rebuild a war torn country and make the outlook a little brighter for Afghanistans future generations.
