"Yes mam we will have someone out there straight away. And your
address............ok thank you Bye"
Walking into the Boss's office.
"Boss that was Mrs Soglino. There is some guy hanging around her place
shouting sorry and all this other stuff. Should I get Jack and Jo to go and
check it out?
"Yes. Send Parrish and Lawson"
"There was something else boss. The address the lady gave me was Maggie's
old next door neighbour"
"Like I said send Parrish and Lawson and tell them to call in for back-up if
it looks serious"
"Ok Boss."

"Mt Thomas Station to Mt Thomas 208"
"Mt Thomas 208 receiving. Go ahead Ben"
"Jo, could you and Jack head out to 18 Norman St. There is a guy running
around shouting sorry and other stuff and annoying the hell out of the owner
and scaring her children"
"Hey Ben, wasn't that the street Maggie lived on?"
"Yeah, it was her old next door neighbour"
"Really?"
"Yes really and Jo if you really don't get your butt to that address I think
the boss will have something to say."
"Ok, oK don't get pushy Acting Sargent."
"Also Jo, Boss said if it gets serious call us in. And take the portable"
"Yep Ok Ben"

In the Patrol Car
"Ok Jack 18 Norman St. Lets go"
Jack takes off

Jack and Jo pull up at 18 Norman St. They thought it would be best not to
have the sirens on.
(shouting)"I'M SORRY!!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO KILL HER IT'S JUST THAT........OH
WHAT HAVE I DONE ........I'M SORRY"

"Yep"
"Isn't that Maggie's brother, Mick"
"Yeah it is. "
"I'll call Ben"
"Mt Thomas 208 to Mt Thomas Station do you receive"
"Mt Thomas Station receiving"
"Ben. This guy well it is ahhhhh Mick Doyle. He is scraming and I quote I'M

" Ok Jack stay in one spot. Don't let him see you ok"

At the Station
"Boss"
"What is it Stewart?"
"That disturbance that Jack and Jo attended, well the ahhh guy that was ahhh
talking at that well it was ahhh"
"Spit it out Stewart"
"Well it is Mick Doyle"
"Stewart get PJ and get down there now"
"Ok"

In the CI Office
"PJ"
"Yes Ben"
"The Boss wants us to assist at a disturbance that Jack and Jo are at"
"Ben can't you see I'm busy at the moment. I have got to find the bastard
that killed my Maggs"
"Well this may help"
"What????"
"Well a lady rang up and there is a guy screaming-I didn't mean to I'm sorry
and other things"
"So"
"Don't you think that's a bit suss?"
"Well Ben what does it have to do with Maggs?"
"The guy that is shouting...Well it is Mick Doyle"
"Ok Ben lets go"

In the CI Car
"Mt Thomas 208 to Mt Thomas 509"
"Go ahead Jo"
"Ben, Mick just pulled a gun out saying he will shoot himself"
"Ok Jo ETA 1 Min."
"Ok Ben"
"Mt Thomas 208 out"

At 18 Norman St Ben and PJ arrive.

"I'll shoot myself I mean it"
Ben Talking to PJ, Jo and Jack
"Ok Vests on and we go in slowly"
"What if he shoots?"
"We'll have to deal with that when it happens"
"Ok Lets go"
"POLICE DON'T MOVE"
"Don't come any closer or I'll shoot"
"Mick, mate come on"
"Mate? Who are you calling mate PJ? If anything you are a selfish arse hole
no bloody mate of mine"
"Look Mick who did you shoot?"
"What? I'm not telling you"

>From behind Jo starts to creep up behind Mick. She steps on a twig and Mick
turns around and holds her at gun point.
"Don't anyone come closer or I'll shoot her. I mean it"
"Jack........."
"It's ok Jo..."
"Mick put the gun down"
"No Ben"

Jack isn't seen by Mick and tackles him from behind. Jo falls to the ground
shocked from the incident.
"Michael Doyle you are under arrest for the suspicion into the Murder of
Senior Constable Maggie Doye. Anything you say or do will be held against
you in the court of law. Do you understand?"
"Yeah you bastard"

Jack runs to Jo's side while Ben and PJ are taking Mick to the car.
"Jo are you alright?"
"Ahhhhhh.....ummmmmmm......Yeah.......i'll......ahhhh ......be ok"
"You sure?"
"Yep"
"Ok come on lets get you up."
"Ok"

At the station Mick is being led in by Ben and PJ
"Come on through Mick"
Tom comes out of his office.
"Mick what are..."
"Boss, he held Jo at gunpoint and said he killed someone. So we bought him
in for a little chat"
"Ok Stewart interview him"

Jo runs into the locker room

"Hey PJ do you know where Jo went?"
"I saw her run into the locker room"
"Thanks"

Jack walks into the locker room to see Jo crying. He runs to her side to see
what has happend

"What's wrong?"
"I am just so scared"
"It's ok I'm here for you now"
Jack wraps his arms around Jo to make her feel safe
"Oh Jack I just felt so...helpless"
"Hey it's over now"
There is a small pause and Jo suddenly gets the urge and kisses Jack with
much passion
A minute later the kiss ended.
"Wow. What was that?"
"Well Jack if you look it up in the dictionary they call it a kiss"
"I know that, but why did you kiss me?"
"What you didn't like it?"
"Yeah I loved it, by the way where did you learn to kiss like that?"
"It's just what happens when you have a lot of experience"
"Jack"
"Yeah?"
"I miss Maggie so much. I didn't even get to know her. I was here 4 months
and then she was..."
"Hey it's ok. We'll find out who actually killed Maggie. I bet it was Mick"
"You don't think that Mick would kill his own flesh and blood do you?"
"Well Jo, I do"
"Oh...(Crying)"

In the interview room PJ and Ben are interviewing Mick.
"Mick. Why were you shouting `I didn't mean to kill her?"
"Well PJ if you want to know the bloody truth I KILLED HER...I KILLED MY
SISTER MAGGIE DOYLE. Happy?"
"You bastard Mick she was my wife. How could you do such a hurtful thing?"
"Well PJ you go to the morgue her body is there . You'll see how I did it"
"I want to kill you now!"
PJ jumps out of his chair and starts to go for Mick. Ben restrains PJ and
takes him out into the main part of the station.
"PJ mate what happened?"
"Ben he just bloody confessed to killing Maggs"
"I know"
"Look can you take his bloody fingerprints while I call Prison Squad and the
Police investigators"
"Sure"

While PJ is informing the Boss and Ben is taking Mick's fingerprints, Jack
and Jo are contemplating about going out to see what is happening.

In the Locker Room
"Come on Jo let's just go out there and see what is going on"
"Ok but I have to give you this first"
Jo kisses Jack again but with even more passion than before.
"Thanks"
"Well I listened to the right people."
"Meaning who?"
"Maggie"
"Yeah well she was a great person and didn't deserve to die"
"She sure was for the time I knew her"
"Come on we'll go and see how Ben and PJ are going with Mick"

In the Office area of the station
Jo and Jack walk out of the locker room to see Ben taking Mick's
fingerprints and PJ talking to the Boss.
"Boss, Prison squad will be here in half an hour and Police Investigation
squad said they'd be here ASAP. In the meantime where should I stick
him?"(pointing to Mick)
"Stick him in the cells. Lawson and Parish only cleaned them out this
morning"
"Ok"
Hey PJ"
"Yeah Jack"
"What's going on?"
"Well Jack unfortunately Maggie couldn't even trust her own flesh and blood.
Mick killed Maggs. Prison Squad and Police Investigation are on their way
up."
Jo runs into the locker room crying.
"Where is she going?"
"I'll go check PJ"
"On ya Jacky"

In the locker room

"What's the matter Jo?"
"Jack I'm just finding it really hard to deal with the situation"
"Come on I'll take you home"
"Ok"
Jack walks out of the locker room with Jo in his arms bawling her eyes out.
Tom comes out of his office to see what the noise is.
"What is going on Lawson? And why are you crying Parish?"
"Boss"
"Yes Lawson?"
"Jo is finding it hard to deal with the fact that Mick killed Maggie. Do you
mind if I take her home?"
"I guess so., take her home. And Lawson"
"Yeah Boss?"
"Take the rest of the day off. You too Parish. And take the portable with
you just incase we need you"
"Ok Boss and thanks heaps"
Jo and Jack walk out of the station.
"Ohhhhhhhhh Boss"
"What now Stewart?"
"You let the connies off, not fair"
"Well tomorrow is you want you can have half of the day off ok?"
"Yeah?? Thanks but no thanks Boss"
"Fine"
The Boss walks back into his office and Ben goes back to what he was doing

In the Patrol Car
"You ok Jo?"
"Yeah I'll be ok"
"You sure?"
"Yeah"
The rest of the drive was in silence, although at times Jo would sneak a
look at Jack and Jack would sneak a look at Jo.

At the Imperial
Jo walks in and goes straight upstairs followed by Jack. Jo goes to her room
and Jack goes into his. Jack is already in his room and Jo is trying to
unlock her door but can't because the key doesn't fit. She knocks on Jacks
door and he answers the door in just shorts on shirt. Jo can't keep her eyes
off of him.
"Yes Jo?"
"Ahhhhhh ummmmmmm I can't seem to ahhh get into my ahhhh room"
"Ok come on we'll go and see Chris ok?"
"Mmmmmmmm"
They both walk downstairs together. Jack following Jo
"Chris"
"Yes Jack"
"Jo can't get into her room"
"Oh sorry I forgot to tell you. I had to change the lock on the door because
I lost my key"
"Oh ok"
"Jo I was wondering if I could ask you for a favour"
"What's that Chris?"
"Well we had a desperate phone call about half and hour ago asking if a
Police Squad could have 8 rooms. The thing is I only have 7 available and I
was wondering if you could bunk with Jack"
"Well...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
"Look Chris I'll bunk with Jo. Use my room that's ok"
"Thanks Jack"
"Just tell me when you want the room"
"Well now if possible"
"Ok give me 15 minutes and you can have the room"
"Thanks"

In Jack's room
"Do you want some help?"
"Well is you are offering ...yes please"
"Ok well what do you want me to do?"
"Could you empty all those draws into this suitcase, while I change the bed
and get the stuff out of the wardrobe"
"Ok"
"Thanks Jo"
"Well if it keeps my mind off of..."
"Don't cry Jo"
"(crying) I can't help it"
"It's ok, there, there"
Jack gives Jo a hug
"Come on lets get this done then we can talk in your room"
"Ok"

15 minutes later
"Ok that's it"
"Let's take it to my room"
"Yep"
Everything is in Jo's room and Jack has finished unpacking all his stuff.
Jack sits on the bed while Jo is changing out of her uniform behind the
change screen. Jack can't help to stare at the screen while she is changing.
The light behind the screen outlines her body figure. Jack is trying not to
get excited.
"Jack"
"Yes Jo"
"Why are you so quiet?"
"No reason"
"You sure?"
"Ahhh yeah"
"Ok then"
Jo walks out from behind the screen in blue cargo pants and a singlet top.
She sits next to jack on the bed.
"Jack"
"Mmmmmmmm"
"You are gawking"
"Am I ...Ahhhhhh sorry"
"I know what you were gawking at. Jack do you want to tell me something?"
"Nah it's ok you go first"
"You sure? You look like you want to tell me something"
"Yeah but you talk first"
"Ok"

There was a silence and Jo couldn't resist looking into Jacks eyes.
`He has such gorgeous eyes` she thought `And why does he have to be so god
damn good looking and have a great body`
Meanwhile Jack is thinking
What am I thinking? I should just tell her how I feel. She is just so
irresistible. I can't keep my eyes off of her and now we have to share a
room together and a BED. It is going to be so shard.

"Jack...Jack...Jack..."
"Yeah?"
"You want to talk or not?"
"Yeah you talk first"
"The reason I got so upset is because I am scared that what happened to
Maggie might happen to me or you. I love this job but I don't want that to
happen to me. Worst of all I can't stop thinking about poor Maggie and how
her own flesh and blood like Mick could kill her. I didn't get to know her
as much as I wanted to and I wish I'd had the chance to but she gave me some
advice. She said I should settle down with a guy and well I think I have
found him.
"Really? Well done Jo. What's his name?"
"Jack it's you!"
"Wh...wh...what......huh?"
"Is that a problem? Oh I shouldn't have opened my big mouth"
Jo starts crying and Jack is trying to comfort her when there is a knock at
the door. Jack answers it to see it is Chris. Chris walks in and runs to
Jo's side at the sight of her crying.
"Are you ok Jo?"
"Yeah I'm ok I'm just having a cry on Jack's shoulder"
"Why?"
"Well you see Chris...Jo and I confronted Maggie's killer face to face today
and it was a bit to much for Jo"
"Really? Who was the bastard who killed her Jack?" (crying)
"It was Mick, Chris"
"What a bloody bastard. Of all that time we were all wondering who killed
Maggie and mourning at the same time while he was pretending about
everything. And he knew that he killed her. What a bastard."
"It's ok now Chris. That's why Police Investigation are here"
"Well I'll leave you two alone to talk. Just came to say thanks for giving
up your room.
"Anytime Chris"

Jack closes the door and sits down next to Jo who is still crying.
"Jo..."
"Don't worry Jack, If you don't feel the same way I understand."
"The thing is Jo.... I do feel the same way."
"You do?"
Jo looks into Jacks eyes, which show love, passion and care
"Yes Jo I do.... ever since that night where we had to share my
bed...remember that?"
Jo nods
"Well Jo I had to be careful...I wanted to hold you close to me but I didn't
know if you felt the same way. It seems you do though."
"Jack...(crying) I am totally shocked....do you know that when I first saw
you I couldn't keep my eyes off of you.......but now that I know u feel the
same......I can't do this"
Jo leans over to Jack and kisses him passionately. Jack wraps his arms
around Jo and pulls her down onto the bed where she ends up laying on top of
him. She slowly pulls away and looks deeply into his eyes as she starts to
undo the buttons on his police shirt.

Meanwhile in the station

"Hey Benny Boy, where are Jack and Jo?"
"They went home because Jo wasn't feeling well and isn't coping with the
fact that Mick killed Maggie"
"Ben come into my office for a minute"
"Ok"
Ben follows PJ into his office sits down and shuts the door.
"Ben do you remember the last thing you did or said with Mags?"
"Ahh yeah I restrained her from bashing up that guy but that's ok. What
about you?"
"Well Ben I can't believe I am telling you this but the night before she was
killed we ahhhh how should I put this..........made love"
"How passionate?"
There was a moments silence
"Don't worry about answering that PJ"
"That's ok I'm just thank-ful that bastard is in prison"
"But for how long?"
"True, but we have enough evidence"
"And we'll do it for Maggs"
"Sure will Benny Boy"

In Jo's room

Jack and Jo are both laying in each others arms only covered by a single
sheet.
"You don't know how much better I feel Stretch"
"Well Jo if you are happy then I'm happy"
Jack kisses Jo passionately again. And the spark re-ignights.
Jack just can't stop himself. His body is out of control. He can't stand it
any longer he needs to be inside this wonderful women. In one long hard
stroke he enters her. Jo is so breath taken. How can tis man be so good even
the second time?, She asks herself. No wonder they call him Stretch. Before
Jo can think any further jack starts to place kisses all over her body. Jo

Jo sits up and looks at jack who is now kissing her back

Before Jo could say anything else Jack had his lips locked onto Jo's and was
kissing her with more passion.
He then started to kiss over her coller bone and down her chest but got
side-tracked by her breasts. He funbled with his hands and started to
stroke her breasts making them hard. This didn't help Jo because hse
couldn't stop moaning. She was enjoying what Jack was doing to her. When
jacks mouth came off of her chest, his mouth reached hres and locked into
another more passionate kiss. Five minutes later the kiss ended with both
Jack and Jo gasping for breath.
"Jack" Jo asked still out of breeath

"Don't you think that shower would be good?"

In the shower with the hot water running over their bodies Jack started to
later the soap over Jo's body. Following the same process Jack did, Jo
lathered soap all over his body.
Before long the hot water ran out. Jo grabbed the towel and wrapped it
around her body, although there was one problem.. There was only one towel.
Jo haded jack the towel and wrapped her robe around herself.
"Thanks"
"That's ok"
"So what are we going to do now?" Jack askes while he is wrapping the towl
around himself.
"I don't know stretchy boy"
"Oooh so I'm stratchy boy now, not Jack not Stretch?"
"Yeah"
"Oooh I'm lucky"
"You sure are"
Jo leans in and kisses jack lightly on the lips. Jack starts to undo J's
robe and his hands satrt to make their way back onto Jo's body.
Jo pulls back slowly
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" Jack asking in disappointment that he'd been interrupted.
"Hang on"
Jo walks out followed by Jack to hear the portable going off.
"Mt Thomas 208 portable do you copy?"
"Mt Thomas 208 portable do you copy?"

"Mt Thomas 208 portable receiving "

"Finally I get an answer. Where have you guys been?"
"Ahhh don't worry"
"Now Jack I hope you weren't doing anything mischievious"
"Me.........never"
Jo starts to giggle
"Anyway is Jo there?"
"Yep she's right next to me on the bed I'll put her on"
"Now Parish I hope you weren't doing anything naughty"
"No Ben I wasn't. Now what do you want?"
While Jo is talking to Ben on the portable Jack is starting to undress Jo
again.
"Jo I'm sorry to do this to you but we need you to come down to the station"
"Why Ben?"
"Well JO you are our only female officer and ther has been a raping. We need
you to come down to the station because she won't speak to us."
"Ok. Well let me get my uniform on and I'll be there straight away".
"No need to wear your uniform you wont be here long. Then you can get back
to your other activities"
" Ok"
"Oh and bring Jack"
"Yep."

"Mt Thomas 208 portable out"

"Come on Stretchy we have been called for duty"
"Ok"
"We'll only be there for about an hour then we can get back to more
leisurely activities"

"Ok ok let get going then"

At then station
Jack and Jo arrive and Ben takes Jo into the interview room, while Jack sits
down at his computer and starts playing solitaire.
Meanwhile in the interview Jo starts to take a statement from the young
girl.
"What's your name?" Jo asks softly
"My name is Sara Winterbourne"
"Ok Sara my name is Jo and I need you to tell me what happened ok"
Sara nodded
"I was home alone because mum works on Saturdays and I was expecting my boy
friend to come over to keep me company. There was a knock at the door...
KNOCK KNOCK
"Just hold it there for a second ok Sara"
Sara nodded
Jo opens the door and walks out
"What Ben?"
"Jo this is Sara's mother"
"Yeah"
"Sara wasn't raped! She was home with her mother the whole time!"
"Oh"
"Go in there and tell Sara her mother is here to see her ok"
"Yep"
Jo walks into the interview room and sits back down.
"Now Sara your mother is here and she is just outside. Ok"
"Mum is here? Oh no!"
"What's the matter?"
"Ummmm..."
"Yes.."
"I wasn't raped"
"Why did you lie to us Sara?"
"I wanted some attention"
"Well Sara I think I'll have to call your mother in now"
Jo walks out into the main office and asks Mrs Winterbourne into the
interview room.
"Sara why did you come to the police and lie?"
"I'm sorry mum I didn't mean to I was bored"
"You were bloody bored? So you decide to come down to the police and report
something that never happened"
"Mmmm hmmm"
Jo interrupts
"Mrs Winterbourne we are charging Sara with false reporting and she is
summons to be in court ok"
"Yes I understand Ok Sara"
"Yes mum!"
Sara runs out of the station followed by Mrs Winterbourne.
"I'm sorry about all the messing around my daughter caused you. She has been
difficult since her father left us. I'm sorry. I better go and find her."
Mrs Winterbourne walks out of the station"
Jo turns to Ben
"She has her hands full."
"Yes she does"
"Well I can go home now can't I"
"Yes you can"
"Hey Strecth how about some food?"
"Sounds good to me"
"Ok lets go"
Jack drives himself and Jo back to the Imeperial. When they get there Chris
bumps into them.
"Hi guys"
"Hey"
"Ahh Jack I came to see you before but you were in the shower."
Jack and Jo start blushing
"I'd, I mean, we'd been called into work"
"Ok well I just wanted to thank you for your room again. I hope you two
don't mind sharing"
"Nah. At least the bed will be warmer"
With that comment Jack can't stop himself from getting excited
"Well I'll let you two go"
"Bye"
Chris walks back into the bar and Jo starts to walk up the stairs followed
by Jack.
"Jo"
"Mmmmm"
"What did you mean by at least the bed will be warmer?"
"Well when you think about it two bodies in a bed are better than one"
"True"
"Hey what's the time?"
"6:30"
"Already? We better go down for drinks"
"Yeah"
Down in the bar Jack and Jo walk in and are greeted by Chris
"The usual thanks Chris"
"Sure thing"
Jo goes to sit down while Jack brings the drinks over. Five minutes later PJ
and Ben walk in.
"The usual thanks Chrissy"
"So Peej. Celebrating tonight?"
"What for?"
"You found Maggie's killer"
"Well I'm celebrating the life of the most wonderful woman who was in my
life and celebrating that Mick will rott in jail."
"On ya Pej. Maggie loved you so much."
"I know"
"Here you go"
"Thanks"
Pj walks over to the table where Ben, Jack and Jo are sitting. He hands Ben
his drink.
"Thanks PJ"
"No problem"
"Hey Jo"
"MmmmHmmm"
"I heard you and Jacky boy are sharing a room, no I better get it right, a
bed. Am I right?"
"Ahhhh mmmmm Yeah"
"Now Ben why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"Well PJ it wouldn't have been fun tonight otherwise"
There was a short pause
"So our two constables are sharing a bed. Now just tell me straight. What
were you doing earlier on today before Ben called you in?""
"Jack you can tell them"*Blushing*
"We were talking"
"About what?"
"Stuff"
"Sure, sure Jack"
"I'm telling the truth?
"Ok if you are telling the truth, why is Jo blushing?"
"It's hot in here"
"Are you hot Ben?"
"No. Are you PJ?"
"No"
"Are you hot Jo?"
"I'm not feeling too good. I'm going to bed"
"Ok"
"Hey Jo"
"Yes Ben?"
"Want Jack to help you?"
"NO"
"Ok. Just asking, no need to get nasty about it"
Jo has gone up to her room but Jack has stayed down for another drink

"Look Jack. If you and Jo love each other that's ok. Just be careful ok"
"Yeah whatever"
"Look guys I got to go. I got the night shift."
"Ok see ya Ben"
"See ya Benny Boy"
Ben leaves
"Jack I'm gonna go. It's been a long day"
"Same. See ya PJ"
"Bye"
PJ walks out of the Imperial and Jack walks upstairs. Jack opens the door to
see Jo asleep. Well atleast he thought she was asleep. He starts to undress
for bed. When he reaches his boxers he walks over to the draw to get some
sweat pants and a T-shirt out. He then looks at Jo and decides against them
and hops into bed in his boxers.
Jack is nearly asleep when he feels hands roaming his body. He turns around
to see a wide awake Jo staring him in the face.
"I thought you were asleep"
"Well looks are deceiving"
"You can say that again"
"I didn't think that you would be up for ages"
"Well Ben left, then PJ said he should leave so I came up"
"Mmmmmmmmmm. Well stretch its been a long day. I just want to go to sleep"
"Me too"
"Jo snuggles into Jack and they both fall asleep in each others arms. Little
did they know that Ben and PJ were watching at the window and listening in
on their conversation. They had some goss on the local constables.
