Jane’s Big Love Affair

Visiting the horses at Victoria’s Mounted Police Stables was a moving experience for Jane Allsop.

There’s something missing in Jane Allsop’s life, but the Blue Heelers star says the absence has done nothing bu make her heart grow fonder.

"I really do miss him, but I’m getting used to not having him nearby," she admits sadly.

To set matters straight, Jane says her realtionship with long-time partner actor David Serafin is fine, but there’s another male in her life who also pulls at her heartstrings - her horse Jellybean.

Now living in the city while filming Blue Heelers, the TV WEEK Logie Award-winning actor, who plays Constable Jo Parrish, has had to give up her horse who’s currently under a free lease arrangement with a young rider in the Victorian countryside. She says: "He’s technically still my horse - I couldn’t sell him. I just see him whenever I can."

Jane has owned Jellybean since she was 13 and the pair competed in numerous riding competitions.

But she says the horseriding stopped in her late teens when parties interested her more.

On a recent day off from filming Blue Heelers, Jane visited the Victorian Police Force Mounted Branch Stables in South Melbournce to check out some of the horses.

"The longer I spent in the stables, the more I missed Jellybean," Jane said. "I kept thinking if he were there, I’d jump on his back and ride off into the afternoon."
