‘Focus of Diverse Synergies’ is a symbolic representation of the heterogeneous exposure I have had and how it is woven to symbolize my ultimate objective of achieving greater progress. A hypothetical simulation to the inverse spectrum is drawn to emphasise the same. Diverse academic, extra-curricular, and work experience, represented as different colours of the spectrum, when passed through the right medium or opportunity would be synthesized into the pure white light of excellence; Excellence, in the ability to communicate and the ability to implement appropriate communication strategies that are critical to professional performance.
Communication is a social process by which ‘human beings’ are linked, through the creation, transmission and reception of messages. The key connotation of ‘human beings’ here implies interaction with diverse people at different levels. This is the prospect that attracted me to the field of communication. I enjoy interacting with people and aspire to influence decision-making and social change through the challenging proposition of effective communication and communicative strategies. I am sure that my diverse heterogeneous facets or colours (detailed below) when blended together are an advantage for effective communication.
“Synergism
is the simultaneous actions of separate entities which together have greater
total effect than the sum of their individual effects.”
- Buchholz
and Roth

To drive internal online Ad campaigns and tracking of the same, reply to queries and maintain amicable and cordial relationship with the press, marketers, brand managers and the users of the www.cricinfo.com site.
Advertising especially on the New medium (Internet) has been my passion and fortunately when we conducted an online campaign to promote a contest called “Oogly” using various other sites, it was an immensely satisfying experience. The campaign promotions activity started right from contest conceptualisation, sourcing online media agencies, co-ordinating with the agency during the campaign, tracking the campaign performance, briefing the in-house creative personnel, and finally evaluating the entire campaign performance. Apart from the online mediums brand building campaigns on Print and Television were also the ones in which I was involved. The Brand is also promoted in various other media, including strategic partnerships with other websites, associations, etc. Since I have played cricket and was involved with Women’s cricket, promoted relationships with the various women’s cricket associations.
I have conducted two major events,
one press conference and several press meets as part of the PR activity.
The PR responsibilities include providing feedback to queries (www.cricket.org/link_to_database/MANAGEMENT/PRESS/)
raised by users of the site, media persons and other corporates & firms
who seek information about the site. On a day-to-day basis I drive the
internal promotions that we undertake by using the extra banner inventory
that is not sold and evaluate the same. I also write some odd articles
that go up on the site from time to time.

I aspire to be placed in management position which would involve strategic decision making in the process of corporate / business communication. Communication is the most challenging proposition in the product/ service cycle. It is not only limited to the business scenario but affects us in our day-to-day interaction with people. Hence, I think communication skill is the most endeared skill that I posses. I aspire to be recognised as a great communicator, not only of my ideas, but also of ideas and concepts that would change people’s lives and attitude. Probably be instrumental, through effective communication, to improve the quality of their lives.
Communication involves interaction and understanding of various people, People who might or might not touch our lives. However there is this immense scope to learn and grow. I am sure a career in communications would satisfy this yearning in, to grow perpetually; yearning to grow – intellectually, financially, emotionally and spiritually. And the single most quality I admire in myself is the hunger for knowledge, which is evident in the diverse activities; I have been involved in. My weakness are discontentment and dissatisfaction whatever be the result, I always feel I could have done better.
"You are
never given a wish without also being given the power to make it come true"
Richard
Bach, from “Illusions”.
As it is quite evident I have used only 6 colours of the VIBGYOR, for I have yet to acquire that seventh and the most important colour. The coveted colour of “Experience in a reputed organisation”, which I would receive by working in your institution and under the expert guidance of your faculty.
Just as how white Brilliant light when passed through a prism breaks into the vibrant colour of VIBGYOR, so also would these beautiful colours turn into pure brilliant light when passed through the right medium. And the right medium so far as I am concerned would be creativity and innovation. Your organisation, I presume would provide me with this medium to grow and excel perpetually.
As a communication professional, I could spot the numerous opportunities in which I could venture through improved ways and means and also opportunities to hone up my skills. The Industry requires individuals with insight, professionalism and understanding of the concept and individuals who look beyond the boundary. And I realise that to make an impact in this profession, I need to equip myself with the necessary arsenal of expert training in communication management.
“Ideas come
into being not through demonstration but through revelation, through the
medium of powerful personalities.”
– Albert
Einstein

keen interest in the field of communication and ability to succeed in the
chosen field, it is proof enough that I am a competent communicator. Looking
forward to be associated with your prestigious institution.
