Ah, an essay about me. Well, I guess to start off, my name is Brunei. I love my name very much, and I shall always treasure it.
I love it so much mainly because it's also the name of a country in Asia. What's funny is that my mother was trying to give me an African
name, but wind up giving me a country's name found in my most favorite continent.
What else can I mention? I've always loved drawing. I've been doing it since I was in kindergarden, maybe even pre-school! Creating new
characters and giving them their own story to reside in is quite lovely, seeing as you are the creator who has control of what ever
your character does or says. I first wanted to become a children's book writer in 2nd grade, but then in 4th grade, I found something that
interested me more than just drawing. Animation. Animation is so amazing, and awesome, and fun, and cool, and did I mention amazing? Drawing
is fine on it's own, I guess, but your whole view of everything changes when you make your artwork actully breath and talk and come to life.
It's kind of rewarding.
As you can probably figure, I want to become an animator when I get older. There's many different types of animators, from "cell" animators,
the cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants that are 2D and appear to be drawn, to CG animation, which is the type of animation you'd see from
Disney's Pixar, and also stop motion, which utilizes cameras and models to create animation. I even forgot to mention my favorite: 2D computer animation,
were you'd draw a figure onto the computer screen, and start an animation. It's very simular to cell animation, but I'd say it's a bit more difficult, and
also a bit easier, if that makes sense. I wouldn't mind trying them all out, but sooner or later, I'll have to find a particular style to work with. Maybe
I'll stick to 2D computer animation. That's the one that I understand the most, for now.
There's more to me than just a love for animation. Did I mention that I love Asia? Asia is so wonderful. Each country has different traditions and cultures that have big impacts on other regions in the world. I especially love Japan. I usually focus on their pop culture, where you'd see more modern advances in tech and entertainment. I love their animations to. The Japanese word for animation is "anime," I can tell you that I can never get enough of it. Its... so... Beautiful! I wanted to become an animator because of anime! American animations are great, but it's just that they were at their best in the 1900s. Now, people are making rediculess, crude cartoons, and calling that entertainment. But anime... It's just always good; old and new. Maybe I have a bias opinion though... Well, I guess there really isn't anything else to me. I'm an anime fanatic who draws and animates for... a purpose. But, I guess that's kind of intersting, right?
