| Views of the mountain from the northwest... she erupted to the north. To the left, in the foreground is where all the mud and debris went on it's way to the Pacific. They built a debris dam to prevent flooding in downstream Portland, Oregon. |

| In this picture, if you look closely, you can see the bare trees all on their sides from the blast. They have reforested much of the area, but have left this area, almost directly south of the mountain as is. |
| What a spectacular view... I love the shadow cast by the setting sun. If you look closely you can tell just how windy it was that day by the blowing snow that is in the volcano's crater. |
