Amy and I followed the Columbia River practically the whole way to Gresham and we were very taken by it.  At first we didn't realize what river it was and referred to it as a "Rocerlake" because it was a mix between a river, an ocean, and a lake.  God ended up using the Columbia to teach us quite a bit and we began to refer to it as the River Of God.  As people living in a fallen world, it's easy for us to feel dry, used up, and worthless.  Yet, just as the Columbia river runs through such desolate land, so God runs continuously through our desolate bodies giving us nourishment and life.  God is so amazing!!
Amy and I stopped at Multinomah Falls on the way to Gresham and stopped for memories' sake and because it's just beautiful.  We were last here the summer after our sophomore year in high school on a mission trip with Dan.
It was so great to see Dan and his family again.  We got to meet Hannah and see how grown up Ryan, Sarah, and Danny had become.  We also got to meet up with Tony LaMarca- a friend who was in youth group with us.
