| Simple Meditation |
| The following is a simple meditation that can be used to help promote within you a feeling of well-being. You can use this meditation anytime you need to bring back a feeling of peace in your life. First, find a comfortable spot where you will be undisturbed. Take a few clensing breaths (breathe in deeply and breathe out slowly). Now, continue with breathing, breathe in to the count of 4, hold to the count of 6 and breathe out to the count of 8. This will help relax your body and focusing on your breathing will help relax your mind. Imagine a beautiful glass pitcher above your head filled with bright white, sparklink and shimmering white liquid light. Imagine this liquid light pouring in to the crown of your head, flowing down and filling your entire body with light. Now imagine that light extended beyond your body. A few inches at first and then a few feet. Continue your relaxed breathing. Now, imagine your body relaxing with each breath. Start with your toes and move through each body area until you reach your face. Imagine every breath relaxing a part of your body. Once you have finished this relaxation excercise we'll begin the next part, creating your sacred place. To create your sacred place, imagine the most beautiful place you have ever seen. It can be out in nature or it can be a magnificent building you create. As you are creating your sacred place, pay attention to the details. Is the sky pink or blue, is there sunlight, is there a lake or a stream, trees and rocks, marble floors and carved ornate walls? Let your imagination go. Create in you mind whatever kind of space feels most comfortable. Once you have created your sacred space, spend some time there sitting and relaxing, or laying in the grace or if you've created furniture, sit or lie upon it. You can remain in your sacred space alone or you can invite loved ones who are on the other side to visit with you. You can invite spirit guides or even those in the living you wish to converse with. Pay attention to any messages or guidance you might receive. If you receive none, not to worry, keep on trying. At any time you can return to your breathing and slowly begin to awaken. At any time you need a quick retreat for solitude or recharging, you can take a few minutes to go back to this space. Remember, in this space you are in your sanctuary. You are protected in this place and will not come to any harm. If you feel too much negativity to meditate, go for a walk first and relax. Focus on nature and something beautiful that you see, then locate a spot to go into your meditation. Enjoy!!! |
