My Prediction

Letting out the cat, I suppose.

There are five phases that are going to occur before we take the forefront in this field. The world can do nothing but just watch.
1. Resistance To The Dance-Sport
2. Acceptance Of It As A Sport Only
3. A Period Of Turmoil
4. A Period Of Realisation
5. The Final Development

1. Resistance To The Dance-Sport
Be Indian and buy Indian is a strong theme. So look around grab what ever comes at the arms length and think. This will negate the Ballroom and the Latin American Dances all together and lay a stress on the present prevailing classical dances. So also many other countries that do not have BLD as part of their culture will be against it, tooth and nail. This is natural to resist any change. The laws of inertia also stipulate it very scientifically.

2. Acceptance Of It As A Sport Only
This is but a true and accepted fact that when it is an Olympic Sport we must compete and win laurels, and bring a name for our country. This patriotic theme will pick up. Leaving every thing else aside, mainly the emotional part, due to the monetary problem and the time constraint.

3. A Period of Turmoil
"The devil cites scriptures for it's own purpose" from Shakespear's, Merchant of Venice. This is the next to follow, when having accepted the Dance-Sport, the culture's "preservers", a small group though, will create an upset, and the majority will remain neutral and undecided. Liberal and unrestraint sexual activity and the break down of the famaly values, will be the main issue. This will lead to a delicate situation in many areas. However the Indian would be luckier.

4. A Period Of Realisation
This is when the actual thinking is done, for and against the Dance-Sport in a neutral manner. And it gets accepted. In the Indian culture we have the "Kama Sutra", an in depth study on sexual activity. This will help in understanding that sex is definately "heaven", however it requires the proper development of the mind, body and the soul.

5. The Final Development
This is when the classical dances share a lot of their wealth, and the result is that the expression is honed to a perfection never before seen. However the Indian classical dances remain unchanged and retain their classic charm and identity.
