Interesting Tidbits on my First Reading
Warning: Major Order of the Phoenix Spoilers.  Go back if you have not read book 5.
Jahboh

-  The bartender at Hogs Head that Harry finds to be familiar; I think its Dumbledores brother, Aberforth. This is because it also smells like goats in there
- The boy Dudley beat up, Mark Evans, is most likely related in some way to Lily
- Ron and Hermione are getting together; First, Hermione gives Ron a kiss, later, Ron gives Hermione perfume for Christmas
- When are the Lovegoods mentioned? In book 4, Amos Diggory talks about them at St. Catchpole when they are going to the Quidditch World cup
- For those who read
Animal Farm by George Orwell, is someone in this book reminding you of Napoleon? LOL. Professor Umbridge!
- For those who read
Matilda by Roald Dahl, do the Weasley twins trashing the school remind you of that book?
- I find it strange that Lupin doesnt turn into a wolf at any point in the novel; maybe it's because Rowling's book is long enough as it is
- The reason Goblet of Fire (American Edition) looks as thick as Order of the Phoenix is because the font size in Order of the Phoenix is slightly smaller, 11.5- point Adobe Garamond instead of 12- point
- Correct me if I'm wrong, but only one Gryffindor password is mentioned in the book,
Mimbulus mimbletonia, which also happens to be the plant that Neville has with him all year long... is this a coincidence?

New! My friend Jenny suggested this one:  Umbridge is kind of like Umbrage which means "overshadowing influence"

Did anyone else pick up some interesting information on their first reading?  I'd love to add to this.  E-mail me at [email protected].  Thanks!
