Sarita pushed open the door with her back and walked out with three glasses of iced tea. Her mother walked over and took two from her.
�Thanks.�
She sat down on the stool and her parents took the chairs nearby that Jake and Sarita used when they held the babies.
�How have you been, sweetie?�
Sarita nodded. �Fine. Taking care of Brett, stuff like that.�
�Honey, we�re so sorry.�
�For what? For abandoning me? For thinking I wanted to be violated? For having a baby? For having to change your mind after a year? You can be sorry for so many things, dad. But they have to come from your heart. I had nobody. I only had a baby, which belonged to him. I felt ashamed, hurt, humiliated. I thought you�d help me out. But I ended up staying with a police officer. Then Jake came along and her friends and they all gave me my life back. They helped me. When I had my baby, I decided to keep him. So I have him with me. I am so glad too because he is the most precious thing in this world. When he smiles, it�s like the whole world is smiling with him. I just want to know how you could do that to that beautiful baby boy and me. How could you abandon me like that?� Tears streamed down her face.
�Honey.� Her mother stood up and wiped away her tears. �I am so sorry. I believed you, I really did. But everyone tried to tell us that it was meant to happen. Until the trial started, we didn�t know what to believe and now we do. We just want our baby back.�
�I�m not a baby anymore. I grew up. I have a son now. I have a fianc�e who loves ME. He doesn�t see what happened. He doesn�t see Brett as a product of something so cruel. He sees us for what we are. I love him. I love my baby.�
�Do you still love us?�
Sarita sniffled and licked her lips. �Even after everything you did to me, yes. I still love you, mama.�
�Oh baby.� She hugged her daughter tightly and they both cried. Sarita�s father stood and hugged both of them.
Hamilton drove up in his car and got out. When he saw them, he turned around and headed to Friendly�s. He walked in and handed an envelope to Jake. She kissed him.
�Are those her parents?�
Jake nodded. �Yeah.�
�I guess they made up.�
Jake smirked. �You think?�
Hamilton rolled his eyes. �I love you.�
�You too. Now come here and feed your daughter.�
�Would be my honor.� Hamilton walked over and took the baby from Bella. He met Rebecca and then sat down to feed Ayesha a bottle. A little bit later, the door opened and Sarita walked in with her parents.
�Will, come here.�
Will looked up from talking to Scout. He nodded to Scout and walked over to Sarita.
�Hey babe, you okay?� He wrapped an arm around her.
�Yeah, I�m okay. Will, I�d like you to meet my parents. Robert and Harriet.�
�Hello. It�s a pleasure to meet you.�
�You too, Will. Thank you for taking care of our daughter.�
�There�s nothing I�d rather do more.�
Sarita smiled and blushed. Rebecca walked over and handed Brett to Sarita.
�And this is Brett. Here you go.� She handed the baby to her mom. He cried a bit. Sarita rubbed his forehead and gently kissed him. �It�s okay, sweetie.�
Jake, Bella, Hamilton and Scout watched with small smiles. Will rubbed Sarita�s back the whole time.
Two months later.
One night, Will opened his eyes hearing Brett crying. He got up and went into his room. He was holding onto the bars and bawling.
�Hey buddy. Oh, honey.� He sighed seeing that the baby had thrown up. �Come on, let�s get you cleaned up.� He took Brett out of bed and took him into the kitchen. He got a wet washcloth and washed him off. Brett cried the whole time.
Sarita walked out. �Hey, is he okay?�
�I think he had too much cake.�
�Oh my poor baby. Will, I�ll take him.�
�Okay. I�m going to go put his sheets in the laundry hamper.�
�Okay. Hey it�s okay. Mommy�s here.� Sarita took him and took off his dirty pajamas. She got a t-shirt of hers and put it on him. She felt his forehead and was happy to know it was down. She got a bottle out and put cold water in it. She went back to her bedroom and smiled seeing Will waiting.
�Hey, is he okay?�
�He�ll be just fine.� She got into bed and put him in the middle of the bed and gave him the bottle. He drank it and looked up at both of his parents.
He looked at her. �Any regrets?�
She shook her head. �None.�
Will smiled and kissed her softly. �I love you.�
�I love you too.�
Will smiled and looked down at Brett. �And I love you.� He kissed Brett�s forehead. Brett closed his eyes and opened them again.

Jake walked into the baby�s room and saw that Ayesha was awake.
�Hi sweetie.� She picked up the little girl and carried her back to the bedroom. She crawled into bed and Hamilton turned.
�Hey. Is she okay?�
�She�s fine. I just think she�s having trouble sleeping.�
Hamilton kissed the baby�s forehead and they soon fell asleep.
