Summary: Jake is raped one night and later finds out she is pregnant. But is the baby Hamilton�s child�or the person who raped her?

Bella pulled out a long sleeved t-shirt and sweats. She turned to look at Jake, who was standing in her bra and underwear looking at her bruised, scratched and violated body.
�Jake.�
Jake sighed. �I want to tell Hamilton�but I�m scared of what he�ll think of me.�
�Hamilton loves you Jake. Never doubt that.� Bella handed her the clothes. Jake got dressed. She wouldn�t even let Bella touch her most of the time.
�Did you tell Scout and Will.�
Bella waited a few seconds before nodding. �I told them not to tell him.�
�Is Will mad?�
�No�he�d never be mad.�
�I don�t want to see anybody Bella. I�m so�dirty.�
�You�re not dirty, Jake.�
�I can still feel his hands on me�I can still feel him�� Jake started sobbing again. Bella hugged her close.
�Sh, Jake stop thinking about it.�
�I can�t help it, Bella�I have to think about it.�
�I know.�
�I need Hamilton�I need to tell him.�
�Where is he?�
�He�s at home.�
Jake nodded.
Bella let go of her and went to her phone.

Bella met Hamilton downstairs.
�Where is she? Is she okay?�
�You better see her and Hamilton? Be careful with her.�
Hamilton just looked at her confused. She let him go upstairs.
Hamilton walked over to Bella�s door and knocked. He slowly opened it and saw Jake standing at the mirror.
�Hey.�
Jake turned to him and he froze. �Jake�what happened to you?� He started to reach for her but she suddenly backed away. He stopped. �Baby�I�m not going to hurt you.� He reached out to touch her shoulder but she made a noise and backed away even more.
�Don�t touch me, please.�
Hamilton stared at her. �Jake�I�m not going to hurt you. You know I�d never do anything to you.�
Jake bit her lip.
�What happened? Did someone hurt you?�
Jake nodded.
�Who?�
�I�I don�t know who did this.� Jake started to cry.
Hamilton�s eyes widened in realization. �No�oh�Jake, oh baby.�
Jake looked at him. �I�m sorry. I understand if you don�t want to see me again.�
�No. Baby�no. I�d never�Jake�when? When did this happen to you?�
�Last night. I tried to stop him, I promise you I did.�
�I know, baby.� Hamilton touched her shoulder. Jake looked up at him and fell into his arms, crying. Hamilton held her gently, afraid she�d break in his arms.

Jake, Bella and Hamilton walked into Friendly�s, Jake between the two. Will looked up and walked over. Jake backed away. Will stopped.
�Jake�I�m not��
Jake nodded and hugged him.
�I�m so sorry. I should have never sent you out.�
�It�s not your fault, Will. Don�t blame yourself.�
Will nodded and let her go. Scout walked over.
�Jake.�
Jake looked at him. �I made sure to tell the Dean that you wouldn�t be at school for a while.�
�Thanks. I can�t go back.�
�We know.�
Jake nodded and leaned into Hamilton.
�Are you hungry?� Bella asked.
�Yeah.�
Will nodded. �I�ll make you something.� He headed for the back.
Jake sighed. �I have to talk to the police. Hamilton, will you-�
�Yes, Jake�of course, I�ll go.�
Jake nodded.

Jake sat uncomfortably in the chair while Bella, Will and Scout stood outside. Hamilton was on the phone with his father.
Bella sighed. �I wish we could be in there with her.�
�Me too.� Will shook his head. �Did she tell you what happened?�
�Not enough. She did tell me enough to know that she�ll be scarred for life�and I mean emotionally.�
Scout wanted to hit the wall.
Inside Jake squirmed in her chair.
�Jacqueline�what did you do after he raped you?�
Jake kept her head down and licked her lips. �I�I must have lye there for a few minutes�um�I stood up and got my coat. I put it on and walked home.�
�Did you see his face?�
�No�but I remember that�when I turned my head�after he hit me with a stick, I saw that he had a long scar on his right hand.�
�Do you remember what it looked like?�
Jake shook her head. �It was mostly a shadow�it was so dark.�
�Jacqueline�if you don�t want to go on, you don�t have to. Is there anything else you can remember?�
Jake looked up and shook her head. �No. I can�t remember anything other than walking home.
�I think that�s all we need. We�ll call you when we have a few leads. Thank you for your time, Miss. Pratt.�
Jake nodded and left the room. Bella stood up and Hamilton turned from the wall.
�Hey.� Jake said weakly.
�Hey sweetie.�
Jake walked into Hamilton�s arms.
�You want to go home?� Scout asked.
She nodded and they all headed out.
Jake got in the seat next to Hamilton and as he drove, she looked out the window at the dark sky. It seemed to fit her mood.

A few days later, Jake stared at her watch and when it hit 3 minutes, she stared at the mirror. Finally she looked down and reached for the tiny stick. She took it in her hands and stared at it for a full minute before looking up again.
