�Where are you guys taking me?� Jake said to Bella and Sarita as she woke up next to Sarita.
�Oh, there was the cutest dress I saw and I wanted to show it to you guys!� Bella said. Sarita shook her head, mentally. Nice save, Banks.
�Right. And where is this dress?�
�Oh, a few miles out of Carson.�
Jake nodded and leaned her head against the window.
�Oh don�t worry, Jake, I found a dress for you.�
�Thanks Bella.� Jake scoffed at her friend. �You know I look fat in dresses.�
�No, you look beautiful in dresses!�
�Please.� Jake shook her head.
�I bet you do.� Sarita said softly.
Jake just sighed.

�Hamilton in all my years here of living, I have never once seen someone go this far to propose.� Will said as he unraveled the ball of string.
�Well, I figured she�d like this.�
�And how do you plan on keeping people from not calling the police?� Scout asked as he looked at a map so they knew where they were going.
�Easy. I called Melanie, you know the cop Sarita stays with, and I explained it to her. She�ll make sure to tell whoever gets a complaint about what is going on.� Will said with a bright smile.
Hamilton and Scout looked at him and shook their heads.

�Bella, I�m tired, exactly why were we out on our feet the whole time�and why aren�t we back home yet?� Jake said leaning against the window in her new red maternity dress.
�Because I�m not ready to go home yet, we still need to buy a few more things.�
�Bella, I really think you�re crazy.� Jake said with a sigh.
Bella shared a wink with Sarita. �Yeah, I know.�
Jake shook her head.

�Yay, we�re finally home!� Jake said with a sigh.
�And only after 8 hours of shopping!� Sarita said with a laugh.
�Oh go dig yourself a hole!� Jake snapped.
�I know you didn�t mean that.� Sarita smiled sweetly.
Jake got out of the car and raised an eyebrow seeing an envelope on a piece of string with her name on it.
�What the�?�
�I don�t know what that could be, go see.� Bella gave Sarita a low five. Jake took the envelope and opened it and smiled seeing Hamilton�s handwriting.

Jake raised her eyebrow and looked at Bella. �Do you know what this is?�
�Just follow it.�
�Right.� Jake gave a giggled and held onto the string. �Did you have something to do with this?�
�Us? No! Never!� Bella and Sarita shook their hands and made little motions.
Jake just nodded and started rolling up the string while holding onto the first letter, not noticing the secret smiles Sarita and Bella gave each other.

Jake kept on walking a few more miles until she reached the next letter�on the roof of Rawley Boys. She sighed and walked up to the roof. She took the letter and sat on the edge to read it.

Jake shook her head and threaded the string. She tugged a bit and turned her head seeing the next piece of string going off the side. She sighed and threw the string down the side. She got off the roof and went to the side of the school, waving at a few guys, laughing as she found the spot where she hid her motorcycle. She reenrolled up the string and smiled seeing that the string led her over to the docks. She shook her head seeing the letter on a boat. She rested her hand on her stomach.
�I don�t know what daddy�s up to sweetie, but I think I like it.�
She carefully got into the boat and opened the letter, resting the rest of them on her lap.

�Daddy is up to something.� Jake muttered and was about to get out when she noticed the string was floating on the clear water. She shook her head and began rolling up the string and rowing on the lake. She finally stopped seeing a letter on top of a high rock. She sighed. �Daddy had help.� She shook her head and grabbed the letter. She opened it and read it with a smile.
Whoever thought we�d come this far?
I sure didn�t.

Jake smiled even through the loss of romantic flair but it did send a nice feeling through her body. She stacked it and rolled the string as she continued along. She finally got to shore and got onto land. She held onto the letters as she continued. Finally, she found another. She took it off the fence and opened it.

Jake sighed softly and held onto the letter as she walked through the fence after opening. She untied the string and then rolled it up again. Judging by the ball she was making, she was almost finished with the string and with the letter. She walked a few more miles when she remembered where she was�their secret spot. She moved away some leave and came to a tiny clearing, roses bloomed and flowers gave the lake a beautiful feeling. She looked around for Hamilton when she saw that the string stopped�at a small radio. She looked at it confused and walked over to it. She bent down and saw a note attached saying �PLAY ME.� She smiled softly and bit her lip as she pushed the play button with a slender finger. Soft music filled the air and she smiled.

Around the second verse, Jake heard another voice. She felt footsteps behind her and then Hamilton�s soft voice become clearer. She turned around and smiled seeing him coming towards her. He walked over to her still singing. He handed her a rose and she took it.

When he finished, Jake had tears running down her cheeks. Hamilton gently wiped them away and kissed her eyelids.
�Hamilton�this is incredible. But what is it?�
Hamilton sighed. �I know we�re still young but I already know I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You are my best friend and you�re my hope for everything.�
�Hamilton�what are you saying?� Jake had a feeling she knew what he was going to ask.
Hamilton took a huge breath and got down on one knee. He took out a black box and produced a sparkling ring with a diamond with jewels incrusted on it. Jake�s jaw dropped.
�I love you so much, Jacqueline. You are my life. Jacqueline Alejandra Pratt�will you marry me?�
Jake bit her lip and smiled. �Yes�yes, I will marry you.�
Hamilton slipped the ring on her finger and stood up to kiss her. They hugged tightly, being careful of the bulge in Jake�s stomach.
