Jake slowly walked out to the grass where all the guys sat. She bit her lip and sat down away from them. She listened to Finn and kept on biting her lip. She knew they could see the bruises on her face but they probably figured it was from a fight. Jake wasn�t a fighter.
After class, she walked into the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror. Tears started trickling down her cheeks. She put her face in her hands and started sobbing. She looked at herself again and ran out of the bathroom. She ran up to her room and sobbed into her pillow. Jake sat up and wiped her eyes. She picked up her phone and dialed, glad that she was finish with the day of school.
�Hello?� a soft voice asked.
�Bella?� Jake asked with a choked sob.
�Jake? Honey, what�s wrong?�
�I�I need you�I can�t stay here.� She started crying again.
�Jake, what happened? Are you hurt?�
�Just come get me.� Jake dropped the phone and cried into her knees.

Bella ran through the halls of Rawley Boys desperately seeking Jake�s room. She asked about 5 guys where �his� room was and they pointed her in the directions. She got to the door and knocked.
�Who�who is it?� a shaky voice asked.
�Jake, it�s me. Let me in.�
Bella heard the sounds of a door being unlocked and when the door opened, she nearly screamed.
�Oh my God.� Bella slowly put her hand on Jake�s cheek. Jake flinched away a bit. �Sh, Jake, I�m here. I�m here, honey, what happened?�
Jake looked around and pulled her in. Bella licked her lips. Jake bit her lip.
�I�I��
�What? Jake�what happened? Did someone hurt you?�
Jake nodded and started sobbing again.
�Who was it?�
�I�I don�t know! He wouldn�t let me look at his face.�
�Oh my God. Oh my God, Jake�no�please no.�
Jake nodded much to Bella�s horror. �We have to get you to a hospital.�
�No! They�ll know.� Jake hugged herself.
�Jake�I�m right here, I�m going to protect you. When did this happen?�
�Last night�when I went to get a delivery for Will.�
�So that�s why he asked me if I saw you. You never came home.�
Jake just sobbed.
�Does Hamilton know?�
Jake shook her head. �No�I haven�t seen him.�
Bella licked her lips. �We have to get you to the hospital. We�ll go to Carson, okay? Have you taken a shower?�
�No�I feel so dirty.� Jake tried to rub away imaginary dirt but ended up irritating a scratch.
�Jake! Stop it, come on.� Bella led her out of the room.

Bella stood next to Jake while she got tested for HIV.
�You have to tell him.�
�I�m afraid, Bella�what if he turns away?�
�He won�t. He would never do that.�
�I don�t know if I could handle it. I let another guy touch me.�
�You didn�t. You told me and the doctor you fought back�didn�t you?�
Jake�s bottom lip started to quiver. �Yeah.�
�All right. Then it isn�t your fault.�
Jake shut her eyes but opened them again.

Bella walked into Friendly�s and walked over to Scout.
�Is Will here?�
Scout looked up. �He�s in the back, why?�
Bella shut her eyes as if she was going to cry.
�Hey, what�s the matter?� Scout ran from behind the counter and sat her down on the stool.
Bella looked at him. �It�s Jake.�
�Is she okay?�
Bella shook her head sadly. �She was walking back to her bike from getting Will�s delivery for Friendly�s. Someone grabbed her��
�Bella, no, please�.no.� Scout said.
Bella put her face in her hands and looked at him. �She was raped, Scout�somebody raped her.�
Scout froze. �Will! Will!�
Will ran over. �What�s wrong? Bella?�
Bella looked at him. �Jake was raped.�
Will let the words sink in. �Where is she?�
�She�s at my house, taking a shower.�
�Does Hamilton know?�
�No and she doesn�t want to tell him.�
�He deserves to know!�
�I know that! Will, Scout�she can�t go back to Rawley Boys. It�s�� Bella turned away.
�I know. Um�we�ll tell Dean Fleming that Jake is having problems at home and had to go.�
�He won�t tell Hamilton if we ask. We just have to make sure Hamilton doesn�t suspect anything.� Will sighed. �Not Jake.� He looked down.
�All we can tell him is that Jake�s staying at my place.�
Scout sighed. �Is there anything we can do?�
Bella shrugged. �Take care of her bike.�
Will and Scout nodded.
�I better get back to her.� Bella ran off.
Scout turned to Will. �This is bad.�
�Worse.� Will sighed.
