Justin tossed an apple into the air before taking a bite.  He looked at the clock and saw that he had to get the kids up.  He went upstairs and into the older girls bedroom.  He opened the window and went over to one of the beds.

Kimberly, wake up sweetie.  Time to get ready for school.

Kimberly opened her eyes and smiled.  Morning daddy!

Morning baby.  Come on, pick out your clothes and Ill help you dress.

Okay! She gave him twenty kisses and he gave her twenty back before she bounded down and went to her closet.  Justin went over to the next bed and saw Carrie staring at him.

Im sorry, did we wake you?

Nope.  But I want kisses too! She pouted playfully and he laughed, giving her a gazillion kisses before standing her up and having her get some clothes.  Kimberly Michelle Bass-Timberlake, put that expensive dress back.  I will not send my child to school wearing that and having you come home all dirty and crying.

Daddy!

Now. He said sternly.

Kimberly pouted but it didnt work on him.

The fact that she takes after you scares me. Lance said with a chuckle, already in a nice suit for work.

Dada! Kimberly and Carrie ran to Lance and he gave them kisses before helping Justin get them dressed.

Ill go make breakfast.  Come on girls. Justin took their hands and took them downstairs while Lance finished up in the bathroom.

When Lance came down, they shared a quick kiss before Justin went upstairs to get dressed before taking the girls to school.  He got on his favorite blue shirt and some jeans.  He looked at his growing curly hair and sighed.

To cut or not to cut. He shook his head and went downstairs.  Carrie, Kimberly, get your backpacks.

The girls nodded, finished their breakfast and ran upstairs
.

Kimberly ran down with her Blues Clues backpack on her back.  Daddy, Kristine is awake and staring at us in her crib!

Yeah! Carrie said giggling, twirling around her Big Bird backpack.

Okay, you two, go get into the car.  Ill be right back. Justin and Lance shook their heads and Lance went to help the girls while Justin went upstairs to get the baby.

Hi sweetie pie. He picked up the thirteen-month old child and got a small comb and brushed her hair as he took her downstairs.  Lance walked over.

Hey, babe, I got to get going but Ill be home at 5:00.

Okay.  Im going out to lunch with Joe and the kids.

Okay.  Love you.

Love you. Justin and Lance kissed.

Bye baby girl. Lance kissed the baby and left the house with his brief case.  Justin locked the door and then went into the garage.  He opened the back door of the van and put Kristine in her car seat next to an antsy Carrie.  Kristine started to cry and Carrie cooed at her.  Justin handed Kristine her bottle and she happily drank while watching Justin go into the drivers seat and start the car.  Ready girls? He said.

Yeah! Carrie and Kimberly said excitedly.

Justin pressed the garage door opener button and waited for it to open before pulling out of the driveway and driving to the school.  He pulled into the parking lot.  He got out of the car and let the girls out.  He went over to Kristines side and got her out.  He held her against his chest, her curls tickling his chin.  He took Kimberlys hand and Carrie held hers as they walked to their classroom.

Mrs. Harris smiled.  Hello girls how are you today?

Fine Mrs. Harris. The girls said in unison.

Were going to have a fun day today.  Hello Mr. Timberlake, how are you?

Just fine.  Kimberly just got over a bug, could you make sure she doesnt do anything to strenuous?

Of course.  Have a good day.

You too. He bent down.  Okay, give daddy loves.

Carrie and Kimberly each gave Justin a hug and kiss and a few to Kristine.  When they were safely inside, Justin went back to his car, put the baby in and drove home.

At exactly 12:30, Justin got the baby into a pink shirt and jean overalls, with little tennis shoes.  She giggled and grabbed at her feet.

Dont you dare. He tickled her tummy and she rolled away, giggling, mussing up her pigtails.

Oh, sweetie. Justin shook his head and tried again.  When they were ready, he got her into the car and drove down to Red Robin.  He parked near the entrance and got the baby and her baby bag out before checking for Joeys car.  Seeing the small corvette in a shaded spot, he nodded and went inside.

May I seat you, sir? The woman asked politely.

No, thank you, Im meeting someone.

She smiled politely and he went in search of Joey, finding him in the back, helping his son draw.  Justin smiled and hefted Kristine up higher on his hip and walked over.  Joey looked up and smiled.

Justin! He stood up and walked over to hug his friend.  Hey, how are you?  Hey gorgeous. He kissed Kristines cheek.  Have a seat.

Thanks Joe.  Have you been waiting long? Justin asked as he put the strap of the bag around the back of the chair and put Kristine in the high chair Joey had apparently saved.  He fastened her into it and sat down.

Nope, just about ten minutes.

Hey Michael.  How are you?

Michael smiled.  Great Uncle Justin!  I lost a tooth and the tooth fairy gave me two quarters. He showed Justin the newest tooth that fell out.  The bottom one to the left.

Justin gasped.  Two quarters?  Careful buddy, I think she may be flirting with you. He nudged the five-year-old and Joey chuckled.

And JC says he gets it from me. Joey shook his head.

Well, Joe.

Dont you dare, Timberlake.

Justin smiled and looked down at the car seat at Joeys feet.  Inside was a gurgling baby.  Hey buddy. He reached over and tickled the boys chin.  He gets cuter each day.  Hows JC?

Great, working hard in the studio.  How are the girls?

Good.  Kimberlys cold went away a few days ago, shes been feeling better.  Carrie loves school, she only hates going home if me or Lance are too busy and we cant pick the girls up.

Poor kids.

We need to all get together when we arent so busy.

Yeah.  When was the last time we saw Chris?

Oh geez.  Last month at Kristines birthday party.

Yeah.  Hes been busy with his clothing line.

Justin nodded and the waitress walked over.

The guys ordered ribs and salad while they got chicken fingers and fries for Kristine and a hot dog for Michael.  The baby had milk.

Hows Lances entertainment company going?

Its going good.  I think he may be signing on a new singer soon.

Really?  Thats awesome!

Justin smiled.  He looked over at Kristine and saw that she was drawing on the little coloring pad he had given her.

Is she talking yet?

Justin shook her head.  She goes da sometimes but we dont know if she is just babbling or actually talking to me or Lance.

Joey smiled.  Its probably just baby talk.  Brianna did it all the time before she finally yelled it out when JC and I were He coughed.

Justin blushed.  Right.  Speaking of, how was the custody hearing?

Joey sighed.  Kelly had died of pneumonia the year before and her parents didnt want queers taking care of Brianna so they sued for custody, even when it clearly stated in Kellys will that she wanted Joey and JC to take care of the baby if anything should happen to her.

The battle was so bad and so controversial that Brianna stayed with Lances sister and brother in law in Mississippi.  With backup from the guys and Brianna, Joey and JC had recently won custody.  But they still had negotiations to go over.  Like visitation rights and things.

Well, they will get supervised visitation because of the kidnapping last year.

Justin nodded and rubbed Kristines soft hair.  The year before, Kellys parents had broke into Justin and Lances house and kidnapped all three girls and then flew to Mississippi (Lord knew how they found out where Brianna was) and hid all four girls.  Since Kristine was four months old at the time and not getting food, Carrie ended up sneaking upstairs, getting a straw, a bottle of milk, going back to the basement and feeding the baby milk through a straw for ten days.  Brianna was so scared and brave that she would hide the milk and suffer punishment for lying.  Brianna had to change the baby by using towels and putting blankets over her middle section.  Finally, on the tenth day, a so called friend of the couple tipped the police off, saying that the kids were in an abandoned house in Utah.  The families flew there and broke down the door.  They caught Brianna in the act of trying to break a sealed window.  She jumped up and down and ran into Joeys arms, while Justin and Lance ran down to the basement.  Justin scooped Carrie and Kimberly into his arms while Lance got the baby and cradling her against him, promising never to let her go.  They traded off and were a happy family.

Since the girls werent hurt, Joey dropped the charges.  Justin never put the girls to bed without locking their windows and the doors tightly since then.

Thats a good idea.  Is Brianna all right with this?

As long as her dads there, shes fine.  She absolutely loves her brothers.  That kid cant get enough of them.

He smiled.  Is she at school?

Yep.  They look out for her there.  I have a perceptive eight-year-old, Justin.  She knows when she needs to leave a room or when I need her.  If I lost her He couldnt continue.

Justin patted his arm soothingly and they ate.

An hour later, Justin drove home with the baby and put her down for her nap.  He went downstairs and read for a while.  An hour and a half later, he opened his eyes and realized he needed to pick the girls up.  He got Kristine from her room and put her in her car seat.  He drove to the school and the girls came running out, grins on their faces.

Daddy! They yelled running into his waiting arms as he stood next to the car.

How was school girls?

Great!  Mrs. Harris says I am doing a good job on my animals!

Really?  If youre so good, what is a pink bird with a long beak and long legs?

She giggled.  A flamingo daddy!  Honestly!

Justin feigned mock hurt and got the girls in the car.  Kristine was asleep in the back.  They drove home and for the whole day, Carrie and Kimberly helped Justin with dinner while Kristine sat in her playpen, playing with her toys.

Lance arrived home and Kristine was crying in the playpen.  He put down his brief case and went over to her.  Hey baby girl, whats wrong? He picked her up and saw that she was holding her pinky.  Where does it hurt?  Show daddy.  She held up her pinky and he kissed it.  There we go.  All better. He rocked her side to side as he went into the kitchen.  He smiled seeing that Justin was testing some sauce on Carrie while Kimberly stirred a bowl of mashed potatoes.

More pepper, daddy! She giggled.

Oh, all right. Justin looked up and smiled.  Hey there, sexy.

Kimberly and Carrie turned and grinned.  Dadas home!

They raced over and hugged his legs.  He bent down, careful of Kristine and hugged and kissed them both.  I love you.

We love you daddy!  How was your day?

Very good, but there were a few things missing.

What? Kimberly asked, confused.

My four special people in the whole world.

Carrie, Kimberly and Justin beamed.  Lance kissed the girls and went over to hug and kiss Justin.

Hey, hows Joe?

Hes good.  Theyve got supervised visitation.

I guess thats good.

Justin nodded.  I was about to get Kristine.  What was wrong?

She just hurt her pinky, I kissed it away.

My hero. He gave Lance a peck on the lips.  Dinner will be ready soon.  I think she needs a change.

Lance laughed.  Oh great.  Okay, I need a change too.  Lance took Kristine upstairs.  When they came back down, Lance was in jeans and an old t-shirt with Justins face on it.

Good God, Lance!  Dont make me get out my Lance shirt. Justin laughed as Lance set Kristine in her high chair.

Dont even think about it.  Lance started to approach him.

Hey!  Watch it mister, I know where you sleep. Justin said mock warningly.

Lance answered by sticking out his tongue and putting it into Justins mouth.

Daddy!  Dada!  No kissing at dinner! Kimberly said.

Justin and Lance looked down at their oldest daughter and smiled.

All right, missy.  You and Carrie go wash up.  Dinner will be put on the table.

When they came down, Carrie and Kimberly took their seats and Justin handed them their plates of steak cut into little pieces, peas and baby carrots, along with mashed potatoes.  Lance and Justin got their plates and then Lance made a small bowl of baby food for Kristine.  He put her bib on and helped her eat as he ate his own food.

As soon as they finished dinner, Justin got out chocolate vanilla swirl ice cream and gave a bowl to the girls.  They ate their ice cream then went upstairs to brush their teeth and get dressed for bed.  Lance got the baby cleaned up and took her bib off her.  He got her out of her high chair and put her on the floor in the living room and let her play with her toys.  Soon the girls came down and sat on the floor and played with the baby, while Justin and Lance sat on the couch and watched TV, holding each other.

How was your day? Justin asked.

Great.  Yours?

Fun.  Missed you.

Lance sighed in happiness.  Missed you more.

Justin kissed the tip of his nose and they turned back to their program.  At 9:00, Kristine lay sprawled against Lance while Carrie was sleeping on Justin and Kimberly was still awake and playing.

Lance and Justin smiled at each other and slowly got up, cradling their daughters in their arms.

Kimberly, honey, come on, lets go to bed. Justin said.

Okay. She whispered and followed her daddies upstairs.  Lance went into the babys room while Justin and Kimberly went in the next.  Justin put Carrie in bed and made sure she was comfortable before going over and tucking Kimberly in.

Daddy?

Yes, sweetie?

I was thinking that dadas birthday is coming up, we should have a surprise party for him!

Justin smiled.  I think that is a wonderful idea, sweetie.  But dont tell him.

Kimberly shook her head, wide aqua eyes looking into Justins.

Good night baby doll.

Good night daddy.  Love you. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.  After their good nights, Lance came in and said good night and went through the same routine of hugging and kissing her.

Sweet dreams, darling. He said in a slight Southern drawl, causing a slight giggle to emit from her lips.  Lance smiled lovingly and left the room, leaving the door half open and turning on the night light before turning off the hall light and following Justin into their room.  When he got in, Justin was already in his boxers and shirt and in bed.  Lance just took off his pants, leaving his boxers and Justin shirt.  Lance crawled into bed and saw that Justin had his Lance shirt on.

Oh, Justin. Lance giggled and Justin kissed him.

They lay there kissing for a few moments before Justin tugged off their shirts and boxers and entered his husband.  They muffled their screams and moans.
      ~*~

The next day, Lance rolled over and slapped his hand down on the button of the alarm at six thirty.  He rolled back over to Justin and buried his face in his neck.  Fifteen minutes later, the alarm buzzed again and the two lovers sighed.

What day is it?

And it is a LOVELY Friday morning here in Orlando. The perky woman on the radio said.

Bitch. Lance muttered.

Justin giggled.  We get to sleep in tomorrow.

Mm.  Hopefully the baby lets us.

Yeah. Justin sighed softly and finally opened his eyes to see Lance staring at him.

We better get the girls up.

Justin moaned softly in response as Lance kissed him.  They finally got up and got their clothes on.  They took quick showers and while Justin fussed with his hair, Lance, who was already ready, went in to wake the girls.

He walked over to the window and opened up the shade.  He went to Carries bed and shook her gently.

Wake up, baby.

Carrie smiled.  Morning dada.

Morning, sweetie.  Get ready for school.  Its Friday and you know what that means.

Story time!  We get to bring our books and the book woman comes and reads them to us the whole day!

Lance chuckled.  Go get dressed and pick what book you want to take and well put it in your backpack, okay?

Okay, daddy.

She got up and went to her closet.  Lance crawled over to Kimberlys bed and looked at her.  She opened her eyes and smiled.  Dada!

Hey baby.  Time to get dressed.

Story time today!

Lance laughed and helped the girls get dressed.  When their books were picked (Cat In The Hat for Kimberly and Are You My Mother? For Carrie), the girls put them in their backpacks and Lance took them downstairs where Justin was cooking breakfast.  The girls hugged and kissed him good morning and Lance told Carrie to sit on her knees so he could put her hair in a half up.  When he finished with her, Kimberly got in the same position and asked for pigtails.  Lance happily complied and he finished by the time Justin had breakfast on the table.  The girls ate their sausage, toast and eggs, along with cantaloupe and apples.  Then they raced upstairs to brush their teeth.  Half an hour later, Lance decided to take the girls to school since the baby was still asleep and Justin couldnt leave her.  Justin gave his girls loves and tongued Lance, as he was about to leave.  They finally pulled away and Justin went back into the house.  At 9:00 Justin was on the phone with JC when the baby cried.

Wow.  C, she slept 12 hours.  I really hope shes okay.

Justin went upstairs, muttering curses to a laughing JC.  He went into the babys room and got Kristine out of the crib.  He felt her forehead.  No, no fever.  Probably just tired.  Im going to feed her, okay?  Ill call you later.  Go take care of your baby, dude.  Bye.  He hung up and took his daughter downstairs to feed her.

At 3:00, Justin got into his van and put the baby in her car seat.  Kristine pointed at the light in the garage and Justin chuckled before buckling her up and driving to pick up the girls.  When he got there, Kimberly was standing at the curb while Carrie stood next to her, trying to make her laugh.  Justin got out of the car and the girls ran over.

Daddy! Kimberly cried.  Justin picked her up and held her close.  Whats the matter baby?

Kimberly didnt say anything; she just buried her face in his neck.  Justin decided to let her sit up front with him.  When he got her buckled in, he shut the door, picked Carrie up and took her to the other side of the car.  Whats the matter with your sister?

A boy threw a rock at her.

What? Justin had to keep from showing his anger to his four-year-old.

Yeah.  He said she stole his book.

Did the teacher see this happen?

Uh-huh.  He got time out and his parents were called.

Justin sighed.  Your dada wont like this.

Nuh-uh.

Where did it hit Kimberly?

Her forehead.

Justin nodded and put Carrie in the car.  He got in the drivers seat and turned Kimberlys head towards him.  He saw a small red mark on her forehead.  He kissed it lovingly and drove home, struggling not to drive into a tree.  When they got home, Justin picked Kimberly up and got Kristine out.  Carrie hold her hand, Im going to talk to Kimberly, okay?

Carrie nodded and Justin walked into the house with her and Kristine close behind.

Justin sat Kimberly down on the counter and looked into her eyes.  Okay, honey, tell me exactly what happened.

Youll be mad!

Not at you, baby doll. Justin stroked her hair.

The nice lady finished reading my book and when she gave it to me, he pulled my pigtail.  The teacher told him not to do that.  Justin noticed the pigtails that Lance had lovingly done were a bit uneven.  Thenat our last recess before class ended, I was walking out andhehehe picked up a rock and threw it at me.  I cried and cried and Mrs. Harris punished him.  Carrie tried to cheer me up butI was hurt and it hurt. She started to cry again so Justin gathered her into his arms and walked around with her, soothing her.  As soon as she was a bit better, Justin grabbed the cordless phone, then Kristine and took her outside.  He put her in the swing and went over to sit at the chair.  Joe, you wont BELIEVE what happened today.  Can I talk to Michael?

Michael confirmed the story and told Justin he wanted to punch the boy but his friend said it was mean.  Justin secretly wished he had.  When Joey heard what Michael was saying, he couldnt believe it.

Have you called Lance? He asked once he allowed Michael to go and play with Brianna and the baby.

Im waiting until I am calmer.

Is Kimberly okay?

Yeah, shes in the kitchen coloring with Carrie right now.

Justin talked with Joey for a bit before calling Lance.

Justin could clearly hear Lance breathing in and out but the sound of a snap made him realize a pencil must have broke in his hand.

Can I talk to Kimberly?

Sure.  Kimberly, come out here baby, dada wants to talk to you.

Kimberly ran over and took the phone.  Hello dada.

Hey baby girl.  Do you want me to come home?

Uh-huh.

Okay.  Ill be right home.  I love you, baby.

I love you too dada.  Want to talk to daddy?

Yes please.

Kimberly handed Justin the phone and ran back inside.

Hey Lance.

Im coming home, early.  I should be there in twenty minutes.

Are you sure?

I have nothing else to do, contracts are signed.  I think I need to be with my baby girl.

Justin smiled.  Love you.

You too.  See you in a bit.

Justin hung up and took the baby inside.

When Lance got home, Carrie hugged and kissed him then let him go to Kimberly.  Kimberly stood there and Lance picked her up.  He gently fingered the small bruise and kissed her forehead.

Hi baby.

Hi.

Want to play that new board game Uncle Chris bought.

She smiled and nodded.  Okay, go get it, its in your closet.

He put her down and she went upstairs.  Lance went into the kitchen and sat at the table where Justin was feeding Kristine some baby food.

Did you call her teacher?

Justin nodded.  She told me that the boy said that he was going to let the book reader read The Cat In The Hat and when Kimberly gave the same book to her, he got mad, pulled her hair and hit her with the rock.  His parents were notified and they went to school and told him to apologize.

Did he?

I had driven out of the parking lot with the girls by then.

Lance sighed.  How could someone hit Kimberly?  She is the sweetest little thing.

I know.  I mean, a girl in my school had the same book as me, I made a joke about it, I didnt pull her hair or hit her.

You were eight, werent you?

Justin sighed.  Yeah, but Kimberly and this boy, his name is Tyler, they are both five.  We taught our girls not to deal with it if someone has the same thing as them.  And if they do, joke about having the same thing and let it go.  Kristine made a noise and her two dads looked at her and smiled.

Its okay, baby, were all right. Lance reached over and rubbed her cheek.

Kimberly ran in.  Here it is, dada!

Okay.  Would it be all right if Carrie played if she wants to?

She already asked. Kimberly giggled.

Lance smiled.  Come on.

You want to play daddy?

You cool cats get set up, Im going to finish feeding Kristine, and Ill be there in a few minutes.

10 minutes later, Justin came in, put Kristine in the playpen and went to play the game with Lance, Kimberly and Carrie.

As soon as they finished playing, Lance took all three girls upstairs for their baths.  Kristine sat in her little water walker and the girls sat in the bubbles, playing around while Lance helped Kristine, who cried the whole time.  Justin helped Carrie and Kimberly when they got soap in their eyes and Lance had soap in his hands so he couldnt help.  The girls got extra kisses on the face for that.  When Kristine was finished with her bath, Lance took her out, dried her off and got her into her little PJs.  He brushed her hair and blow-dried it.  Justin stayed with the girls while he went downstairs with Kristine.

Soon Carrie and Kimberly raced downstairs in their nightgowns.  Justin braided Kimberlys hair since he got practice from playing around with Britneys hair when they were bored and coming up with ways to fool the press about their fake relationship.  Carrie wanted her hair like Kimberlys only different.  Lance decided to put two braids in and tie them together with a third, but bigger hair band.  When Justin asked, Lance told him about when Stacy would come crying about a bad date and he braided her hair to calm her down as kids.

Since it was a weekend night, the girls were allowed to stay up later, unless they fell asleep.  At 10:30, Justin scooped Kristen up from the couch where she was laying and carried the sleeping child to bed.  15 minutes later, a sleeping Carrie was put in bed by Lance.  Kimberly fell asleep across their laps, her head and arms on Justin and legs on Lance.  They flipped a coin.  Justin put her to bed.  He sat her up, doing his best not to wake her, turned her around with Lances help, held her against his chest and took her to bed.  That was at 11:00.  Now it was 11:30 and Lance and Justin were sleepy so they turned off the TV, locked the windows and doors, and went to bed.

The next morning, Lance woke up and felt something on top of it.  He groaned a bit and tried to move but the weight on him was too heavy.  He turned his head and saw Carrie laying on him, smiling down at him.

Morning dada!

He smiled.  Morning baby.  What time is it? He looked at the clock- 10:30.  Justin was the greatest.  Oh, 11 hours of pure blessed sleep. Lances smile grew.

You didnt hear Kimberly earlier?

No.  Is she all right?

Uh huh!  She just tried to get a plastic bowl and a cup for herself and when she was about to get down, she dropped it on the floor.

Oh no.  Was daddy mad?

Nope.  He just thought it was funny and helped her get breakfast.

Lance chuckled and sat up.  He grabbed his sweats from the floor and put them on under the cover.  Then he got Carrie, threw her over his shoulder and carried her downstairs, her giggles growing each second.  When he got into the kitchen, Kimberly was eating cereal, holding a washcloth over her head.  Kristine was in Justins left arm as he cooked breakfast.

Morning. Lance kissed Kimberlys forehead then kissed Kristine and Justin.  Saved the best for last.

Justin smiled.  I called the doctor, Im gonna have them check her forehead to make sure she doesnt have a concussion or anything.  Just in case he needed confirmation, I gave him Mrs. Harriss number to call.

Good idea.  When do you go?

At 3:00.  Did Carrie wake you up?

Sort of.  Thank you for letting me sleep in.  I needed it.

Anything for you. Justin smiled and continued with dinner.  Lance put Carrie down and she sat next to Kimberly.

The phone rang and Justin answered.  Hello?

Hello Justin?

Hey mom, how are you?

Im fine.  Listen, I was wondering if we could go to lunch tomorrow?  Lances mom, me, you, Lance, and the kids at Dennys.

Ill ask Lance.  Hey Lance?  My mom wants to know if you want to go to lunch with her, your mom and the kids at Dennys.

Oh dada, can we? Kimberly said excitedly.

Lance smiled.  Of course we can.

Wed love to.  Okay, well meet you there at 12:30.  Love you too.  Bye. He hung up.  I guess we know what were doing tomorrow.

Lance laughed.
      ~*~

Justin and Kimberly walked into the house and Kimberly went over to play a puzzle with Carrie.  Lance was changing Kristine on the couch.

Honey, youre making this very hard on me. Lance said with a smile.

Justin sat down across from him and held down her arms.

Hey.

Hey, how did the doctors appointment go? Lance asked as he finally got the diaper on so he could put on her pants.

It was good.  She said Kimberly was just fine and luckily she was all right.  She just wants us to make sure she doesnt get any bad headaches.

I think we can do that.  Lance lifted up the baby and put her in his lap.  Chris called and so did JC.  The guys want to hang out with us next week.

Sounds like fun.  What do they want to do?

Movie and dinner.

Sounds like fun.  Just like old times.

Yep, except with kids.

Yeah. Justin shook his head.
      ~*~

Grandma!  Grandma! Kimberly and Carrie ran into their grandmothers arms and switched after hugs and kisses.

Hey mom.

Hey.

The guys hugged their moms.

Let me see that baby.  Hi sweetie. Lynn took Kristine and tickled her tummy.  Kristine giggled.

My turn. Diane said laughing and taking Kristine from her.

We got presents.

Yay!

Mom, you spoil them enough already! Justin shook his head as they sat down.

They are my grandchildren, I have rights.

Lance smiled.  So how are you?

Were fine.  Busy, busy with the company.

Yeah.

Diane looked at Kimberly and noticed the bruise.  Oh, honey what happened to you?

A boy threw a rock at me because he said I took a book!

Aw honey, does it hurt?

No, daddy and dada kissed the hurt away!

Well, thats good.  Now, do you want your presents before or after?

How about after, just so we dont get a mess on our hands. Justin said before Carrie or Kimberly could talk.

Aw daddy! Carrie pouted.  Justin just shook his head.

When their food was ordered, Diane looked at the boys.  Lance, Justin, we were wondering.

Lance and Justin looked up.  Yeah?

Have you talked about having another baby?

Justin choked on his soda.  Lance patted his back.

Umnot really.  Why do you ask mom?

Well, you are really loving and caring and you love the girls so much.  We know youd give your lives for them.  Wouldnt it be great to bring another child into the world?

Well, yeah, we just havent talked about it. Justin and Lance looked at each other.

Well, you think about it. With that, they just ate.
      ~*~

Cant believe my mom asked us that! Justin said, as he got ready for bed that night.

Yeah. Lance said softly from the bed.

I mean.  Yeah, we could have another but were pretty busy arent we?

Oh, yeah.

Justin stopped and looked at Lance.  He went over to Lance.  Honey, Id like to have another baby.  Maybe we should just wait a bit.  Justwe can talk about it.  Justin bit his lip.

Yeah.  Ive been thinking about it and Id like to have another one.

Oh. Justin smiled.  We should ask the girls what they think.

Lance smiled and Justin kissed him deeply.
      ~*~

A baby!  You guys gonna have a baby? Carries eyes sparkled from the backseat of the car.

Were thinking about it.  I can promise you that. Justin said chuckling.

Sowed get another sister?

Or brother!  Just thinka new baby!

Are you okay with that, Kimberly?  You are the oldest.

Kimberly thought about it and smiled.  Id like it daddy!

Justin grinned.  He pulled into the school parking lot and the girls got out.  Lance had the day off so he was home with Kristine.  He took their hands and walked to the classroom.  When Kimberly neared, she hid behind Justin.

Come on, sweetie, its all right. He gently nudged her out and took her inside.  Carrie followed.

A woman walked over to them.  Mr. Timberlake, I am so sorry about what my son did to your daughter.  Is she all right?

Shell be fine, maam. He looked down at Kimberly.

The woman bent down and smiled.  Hi, darling, Im Tylers mother.  I heard what happened and I wanted to apologize for what he did.

Kimberly looked up at Justin.  He nodded.  She looked back at the woman and smiled.  Its all right!

She chuckled.  Thats good.  Have a good day. She looked at Justin.  Oh and Mr. Timberlake?

Yes?

I know you guys havent been a band in about ten years but, could I have your autograph?

Justin laughed.  Sure.  But I dont have a paper or pen.

Oh, I do. She pulled out an NSYNC CD and a pen.  Kimberly and Carrie laughed while Justin just ignored them and signed.  Whats your name?

Susan.

Okay.  Here you go.

Thank you. She left after saying good-bye to her son.

Justin got down.  Youll be okay, Kimberly?

Uh-huh!  Love you daddy. Carrie and Kimberly hugged and kissed him.  Justin waited until they were with their teacher before leaving.

That weekend, Brianna sat outside on the porch holding onto Joeys hand.

Are they here yet? JC called from inside.

Not yet. Chris said from the porch.

Theyre here! Brianna jumped up and ran up to the van.

Lance got out of the car and hugged Brianna tight.  Hey sweetie, how are you?

Im good!  Can Kimberly and Carrie play?

Sure they can.

Kimberly and Carrie got out of the car and Brianna took them to the backyard.  Justin got out of the car and got Kristine out of her seat.  He rubbed her back as she had fallen asleep and was waking up.  Lance got the girls bags since they were spending the night and went over to Joey, Chris, and JC.

Hey guys. They all hugged.

I was just checking Fandango.com.  Theres a reopening of Aladdin and Brianna just loves Aladdin. JC said.

Thats a good idea.  Carrie wants to be Jasmine for Halloween.  Now Kimberly wants to be Jasmine.  Were going to be going through a lot of fights. Lance said with a laugh.

Good luck.  Dont worry, only five months to go. Chris grinned.

Justin rolled his eyes and they all went in the house and over to the computer.

Okay, Brianna, Michael, Dylan, Carrie, Kimberly and Kristine.  Thats six and us makes five.  This works out good. JC typed it up.  We got tickets for 4:30.  We can go for food afterwards.

Sounds good. Chris sniffled.  I havent had this much fun since we put green paint in the tub and threw Lance in.

Lance groaned.  I thought I told you to never EVER mention that AGAIN!

Justin smiled.  But it was fun getting it off. He wiggled his eyebrows.

Okay, too much information! Joey exclaimed.

Justin and Lance smiled.

So, guysLance and I were thinking um Justin looked at Lance.  Do you want to tell them?

Lance shook his head.  You.

Guys, whats going on? JC asked, turning in his chair.

Well, were thinking of having another baby.

Really?  You guys, thats fantastic! JC jumped up and hugged his friends.

Congratulations guys. Joey hugged them next.

Chris sniffled.  Justin may want to put down that Angel cause I am about to jump him.

Justin laughed and as soon as Kristen was out of his arms and into JCs, Chris was tickling him.  Lance was on the ground with Joey on top of him, laughing until it hurt.  JC smiled and watched, soothing a tired Kristen.

After they were tickled to death, the guys got up and got the kids.  Carrie and Kimberly wanted to ride with Brianna, Michael and Dylan so they took Joeys van.  Dylans car seat was put in the middle of the back and JC went upstairs to get the baby from where he was taking a nap.  Michael and Kimberly got into the back to sit next to him and Carrie and Brianna sat in the two separate seats towards the middle while Joey drove and JC was next to him.  Chris was going to ride with Justin, Lance and Kristen.  They got to the movie theater and Lance got out of the car and got Kristen out.  He smoothed down her hair and followed Justin and Chris over to Joey and JC.  Carrie was holding Joeys hand and Kimberly ran over to Justin and held onto him tightly.  Michael sat on Chriss shoulder and JC was holding Dylan and the baby bag.  Lance told Brianna to go to his car and get Kristens baby bag so she did and they were off to the movie.

Once they got the popcorn and candy and drinks, they all went in.  JC sat down in a seat towards the middle and next to the aisle on the right.  Joey sat next to him with Michael, Brianna, Carrie, Kimberly, Lance, Justin, and Chris following with Kristen in Lances lap.  JC still had Dylan.

During the movie, Lance reached over and put his hand over Carries mouth.  She looked at him and gave him an apologetic look for talking so loud.  He smiled and took his hand away while Kimberly stifled a giggle.  Dylan started to cry towards the end so JC picked up the diaper bag and took him out into the lobby to calm him down.  He came back in as the credits were rolling and waited for them to get over to him before they all walked out.

It was even better on screen, daddy! Carrie was gushing to Justin.

He smiled.  I know!  It was, wasnt?

Uh-huh!  Can we see it again?

Maybe we can.

They all got into their respective vehicles and drove down to Arbies for dinner.  This time, Joey got out the stroller for two and Kristen was in the front while Dylan lay in the back.  Kristen was a bit mad about this arrangement but calmed down when Justin gave her a bottle.  Lance picked Kimberly up while Justin held Carries hand.  Joey pushed the stroller while JC held Michaels hand.

Chris was engaged in a conversation with Lance about finally getting a new artist signed.

Lance, how long did this take you?

Four long months.  I got no sleep.

Chris nodded and they all walked in.  They sat down towards the back and Lance got a high chair for Kristen.  They all got food and ordered.

Daddy.  How famous were you and dada and Uncle Chris, Joey and JC? Carrie asked chewing on a French fry.

So famous, we wouldnt be able to eat without people coming up to us. Justin said with a bitter smile.  Lance placed a hand over his.

Carrie nodded and ate her food.  Kristen started to get fussy so Lance reached over and gently pulled her out of the chair and into his lap.  She curled up close to him and Lance held her close as he ate.  They talked together, laughing like old times and watching the kids play around.  Justin looked down and smiled.  The baby had fallen asleep in Lances arms.

Shes a tired girl. Lance said with a smile.

Yeah.

After dinner, the guys drove to Justin and Lances house.  Lance got the baby and carried her into the house to put her down for her nap.  Everyone else walked in and Carrie ran to the phone as it rang.

I wanna answer! She called before picking it up.  Hello?  Justin stood beside her.  For you, daddy. She said handing him the phone.

Hello?  Whos this?  Sorry, we dont do interviews anymore. He sighed and hung up.  Stupid reporters.

Again? Chris asked.  Dont they quit?  I was baby-sitting Dylan last month and one came up and asked me who the real parents were!  I got out of there fast!

Really?  JC must have been mad.

He was.  Its like they think were still famous.  Were not!  Were regular people with jobs and beautiful kids.

Uncle Chris, you dont have kids! Carrie giggled.

But I have the most beautiful Goddaughter this side of Orlando.

Carrie blushed and hid her face in Justins leg.  Lance came down.

Who was on the phone?

Reporter.

Again? He sighed.  Justin just smiled.

      ~*~*~*~*

Lance and Justin walked into the hospital that was hidden behind some old buildings and went to a waiting area.  Justin went and checked in.  Pretty soon a nurse came out and called them in.

      ~*~*~*~*

So tell me, guys.  How did you get the girls?  They look so much like you! JC asked one day when they were out at the pool behind Lance and Justins house.  He was sitting on the edge of the pool and holding onto Michael while Joey coaxed him to swim to him.  Chris was holding onto Carrie and Kimberly on his back and chest on the other side.  Lance was next to him holding Kristine as she kicked her feet in the water.  Dylan was in his seat next to JC, looking around.

Its kind of a secret.  How about we let the kids go eat then Ill tell you? Lance said.

Justin looked at him.  Are you sure?

Yes.  Weve been hiding it for five years.

Justin nodded.  Pretty soon, Michael, Carrie and Kimberly were inside and eating hot dogs while Kristine sat in Justins lap so Lance could help Carrie cut her potatoes.  Joey was holding Dylan and feeding him a bottle while JC and Chris stood in the water, waiting.

Lance walked out and sat next to them.  Okay.  You know how in the book The Givers, they have a bunch of people who breed?

The guys nodded.

Well, basically there is a hospital that specializes in men having babies.  I dont know how they do it, that is the secret part, but its like a regular hospital only if two men want to have a baby, they will give the doctor their sperm and the doctor does whatever and impregnates a woman who lives there.  Basically we have to sign an agreement that says we cant contact the woman unless they want to.

So, how did you hear about this? Joey asked after letting this sink in.

I was taking a walk one day when I was 18 and I found it.

You were 18?  Justin, we were hella famous, people would have seen! Chris said in shock.

Why do you think I came back looking like a hippie?

JC laughed.  Okay, so basically, a woman lives at the hospital and has the baby for you.  Who else knows about this?

Our moms, Stacy, Ford, and now you.  Well tell the kids when theyre older.

So, do you see the baby?

They send us ultrasound photos and things like that but nothing else.

Yes, and they have you fill out forms and on one of them, they ask if you want to know what the sex is and we put yes.  So basically, they call us up, let us know the baby is about to be born, we go and pick the baby up.  But we can only see the doctor.

You know, if I had known about this, I might not have gotten pregnant. JC said looking at Joey.

Well, look what we got. Joey said with a smile.

JC grinned and kissed him.

Daddy, phone! Carrie said running out and handing Justin the cordless.

Thanks baby. She ran back in and Justin answered.  Hello?  Oh, thank you so much!  He hung up.  Lance, were going to have another baby.

Lance screamed in joy and hugged Justin.

Wait, you guys went already?

Justin laughed, keeping a hold of Kristine.  Yeah.  We went three weeks ago.  They made us wait a month before telling us we were going to have Kristine.  Oh, and we pick the names.

Thats good.  Congratulations guys. JC hugged his friends followed by Chris and, awkwardly, Joey.

Four months later, Brianna ran outside and got out Justin and Lances mail.  She ran back into the house and gave it to them.

Thanks, sweetie. Lance flipped through it.  Hey, I think these are the ultrasound photos. He announced.

Oh great! Justin, Joey, Chris, JC, Kimberly, Carrie, and Michael crowded around them.  Kristine and Dylan were upstairs napping.

Lance opened the envelope and pulled out the photos.

Look, the little hands.

Oh, I can see its feet.

Hey is that a-

Its an umbilical cord, idiot. Chris whacked Joey for that.

Joey pretended to whimper and JC kissed the spot.

Lance rolled his eyes and got to the last picture.  Usually the last picture tells if its a boy or a girl.

They looked at it before Lance turned it around.  Its a boy.  Justin, were having a boy.

Justin couldnt say anything.  He just hugged and kissed Lance before they pulled the girls to them.  Look, guys, youre going to have a baby brother.

Yay!  I cant wait, daddy!

Hell be beautiful, guys.  Youre so lucky. Chris rubbed their shoulders.

A little while later, JC and Joey left with the kids.  Soon Chris announced he was going on a date.

Wish me luck.  This could be the one.

Good luck! They waved good-bye and shut the door.  Lance and Justin looked at each other and smiled.

A baby boy.  I hope he looks like you. Lance said, kissing Justins soft lips.

Or you.  I love you.

I love you too.

They kissed again.  Kristine started crying.  Justin groaned.  Ill get her.

Okay.

They kissed again before Justin rushed upstairs.

Later, Justin and Lance were sitting next to each other on the couch, thinking of baby names.

I like Shawn. Justin said rolling a ball in his hand.

Yeah, me too.  Now for a middle name.

Thats always the hardest part. Justin said with a chuckle.

Lance smirked.  When they had first found out they were having Kimberly, they were having trouble.  They finally decided on Kimberly Michelle.  It took them a whole nine months before they christened their second child, Carrie Rebecca.  For Kristine, they already had a name picked out.  For a girl, Kristine Mallory or Shawn Jade for a boy.

Why dont we just go with Shawn Jade like we talked about before we got Kristine. Lance said softly.

Justin smiled.  Okay.

The two lovers kissed and watched TV with their three kids.

The next day, Carrie stayed home with a fever and a runny nose.  Lance stayed home with her since Justin had to fill out the information about what they were naming their son at the hospital.  He had dropped Kristine off at Chriss house.

Carrie crawled into Lances lap while he was watching TV and curled up to him.  Lance wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.

Im hungry, dada.

Okay.  You want me to make my famous clam chowder and crackers?

Carrie grinned.  With apple juice?

Of course, baby. He kissed her again before placing her on the couch and making sure she was comfortable before going into the kitchen and making her food.  An hour later, Carrie had taken some medicine and fell asleep on the couch while Lance read a book.

The door opened and Justin walked in carrying some groceries in one hand and Kristine in the other.  Hey.

Hey.  Lance got up and helped him out by taking some of the groceries.  They went into the kitchen.

Does she still have a fever?

Yeah, it was getting bad so I gave her a wash cloth and medicine.  Shes asleep now.  Lance took Kristine and put her in the high chair so they could put the groceries away.

Good. Justin looked at the clock.  Shoot, its 3:30!

What?  Oh God Kimberly.

Justin and Lance scooped up the kids and got into the car.  Justin drove to the school and gasped.  Lances eyes filled with anger.  A woman was standing there with a cameraman and was trying to talk to her.  Lance got out of the car before Justin could stop and ran to Kimberly.

Dada! she cried.

Come here, baby girl. He scooped her up and held her tightly.  Im sorry maam, we have nothing to say.

Mr. Bass, is it true that your daughters have no mother?

Lance stopped and stared at the woman.  Look, NSYNC broke up ten years ago and we want our lives to remain private.  Please leave us alone and our children alone. With that, he covered Kimberly with his jacket and went into the car.  Drive. He said coldly.

Justin did just that.
~*~*~*~*

They tried to interview her? JC sighed into the phone as he lifted Dylan up and carried him downstairs.  I have no idea what these people are after.  Did she say what they 1asked her?

She was too confused to really say.  If she talks to Carrie, she may tell us. Lance replied, holding the phone between the crook of his neck and head while cutting up some fruit for Kristine.  Im so scared of when we get the new baby.  What if they follow us?

Easy.  Do what Justin did when he first went when he wanted to have a baby.

Whats that? Lance stopped.

Dress up as Elvis! He laughed.  He suddenly heard a click.  Hello?  Lance? He looked at the phone then down at Brianna, who was doing homework.  I think I just offended your Godfather.

She looked up at him.  You always do.

JC shook his head and dialed Lances number again.

Are you going to tell me I should be Marilyn Monroe next? Lance asked flatly.

JC laughed.  I was kidding, Lance.

Lance rolled his eyes.  Funny, comedian.  Stick with your day job, stay at home dad like Justin and sometimes me.  It works for you.

JC shook his head, still smiling.  The baby started to cry.  Oh, Lance, I have to go.  Dylan is getting fussy.

Oh, give him a kiss for me.  Bye Jace.

Bye.

They hung up and Lance gave Kristine her carrots.

Five months had passed.  Justin and Lance had gotten a bunk bed for Carrie and Kimberly and moved Kristines crib into their room, along with her dresser. They made room for the girls then set up for their new baby.  They painted the wall yellow and chose Disney characters as the theme.  JC, Chris, and Joey happily helped while the oldest kids watched Dylan and Kristine downstairs.  Britney even showed up to give them tips.  They bought clothes and got ready for everything they would need.  Justin and Lance were so excited and Kimberly and Carrie couldnt wait to meet the new addition to the family.

Lance was working when Justin called him.

Lance, the baby is coming!

Lance smiled.  Ill have Joey pick up the kids. He hung up and got his stuff together.  Jen, cancel all my appointments for the next week.

Yes, Lance.

Lance got into his car and drove down to the hospital.  He walked in and waited for Justin.  When Justin arrived, they shared a passionate kiss.

Were gonna have a whole family.  Ive been waiting for this forever.

Lance smiled and they waited.  Six hours later, a nurse walked out carrying a bundle of blankets.

Bass-Timberlake?

They looked at her and stood up.  She walked over to them and smiled.

Here he is.  A healthy baby boy, seven pounds, 9 ounces.

Lance carefully took the baby and moved the blanket from his face.  Oh, look at him.  Hes so beautiful.

He looks like Carrie.

Lance laughed.  Yeah.

We need you two to sign the birth certificate then you can go.

Okay.  Lance and Justin went with her, got what they needed and left.  When they got home, Joey, JC, and Chris were waiting with all of the kids.

Lance walked over and sat on the couch.  Kimberly, Carrie, Kristine.  You guys, this is your new brother, Shawn.

Hes so small, daddy. Kimberly said in awe.

Hell grow, just like Dylan. Justin said softly holding Kristine close.

Can I hold him?

Sure, but you have to be careful.  Remember when you held Kristine?  Carrie nodded and Lance helped her.  JC grabbed the camera and took a picture.

Wow.  He has Lances bright green eyes. Joey said when the baby opened them.  The baby started to cry.

They all smiled.  Why dont we leave you guys alone?  JC picked up Dylan and took Michael and Brianna to the car while Joey gave his friends hugs.

This little guy is going to break hearts.  You guys did terrific.

They smiled at Chris before he left.

That night, Lance woke up and walked into the babys room and watched him sleep.  Justin woke up and went to find him.  He smiled and walked over.  He wrapped his arms around Lances waist.

I cant believe hes here, Justin.  Our family is complete now.

Justin smiled.  It is.  I love you so much, Lance.  You have given me everything.

Lance smiled and turned his head to kiss him.

Kimberly gasped awake later that night and climbed down to Carries bed.

Carrie!  Carrie!

Hmm?  Kimberly, why did you wake me up? She asked.

Sh, dont wake up Kristine.  We were all so busy we forgot the surprise party for dada!

Carrie gasped.  Come on!

They got out of bed and ran downstairs as fast as their little legs could carry them.  They turned on the kitchen light.  Carrie got on a chair and Kimberly pushed her to the counter.  Both girls looked at the calendar.

Lets see, daddy said it was the 15th of this month.  Febrary. Carrie said with difficulty.  So its the next day.

Its still dark!

Mrs. Harris taught us time and look at the clock.  It says 3:45.

Oh.  Ok, lets mark dadas birthday.  Kimberly raised the pages and Carrie grabbed a black marker.

Kimberly found the page and pointed to the number four.  Carrie made a huge black circle around it.  They sighed and put everything away.  As soon as Kimberly was about to turn off the light, they heard a harsh cry.

Shawn! They said together.

Oh no, he woke up.

And when daddy gets him milk

Hell see us.  Quick, get his formula!

Kimberly did just that even though she had no idea what she was doing.  She put the bottle in the microwave and heated it.  Carrie jabbed the open button after thirty seconds.  They tested it and it was lukewarm.

Come on.  Well get our stool and feed him!

What?  Carrie, youre four, Im five, we dont know how!

So?

Kimberly sighed and they ran upstairs.  They looked towards their dads room but heard no movement.  They ran to the babys room and opened the door.  Carrie turned on the light and Kimberly ran to the crib.  Carrie grabbed the stool and Kimberly handed her the bottle before carefully climbing in.  Carrie was next.  Kimberly gently pulled the newborn into her lap and held him upright while Carrie helped her.  Kimberly took the bottle into her small hand and put the nipple to his tiny lips.  He mouthed it before taking it in.  Kimberly and Carrie sighed in relief and held him close.

Were good big sisters.

Yeah.  Carrie, isnt Kristine afraid of the dark?

I dont know.  But she did cry a few times.

If she cries, Ill get her.

Okay.

They watched their brother drink the milk.  After a few minutes, Carrie started to rub her eyes.

Im gonna lay down.

Wait, I hear Kristine.

Carrie groaned.  Im only four, I cant do this!

Kimberly sighed.  Yeah, so try!

Carrie climbed out of the crib and ran to get her baby sister.  She held Kristines hand as they walked to the babys room.  They shut the door.  Kristine climbed up on the stool and Kimberly moved herself and the baby so when Kristine tumbled in, she didnt hurt the baby.  Carrie climbed in and held Kristine.

You got this from daddy didnt you? Kimberly asked.

Carrie giggled.

Fifteen minutes later, Kimberly was patting the babys back waiting for him to burp.  When he finally did, she sang him a lullaby.  He finally closed his eyes.  She looked over.  Carrie and Kristine were lying on the other side of them and were asleep.  Kristine was in Carries arms and Carrie was holding her tightly.  Kimberly smiled and held her brother close to her as she closed her eyes.

Just for a few minutes.  Ill wake up and get daddy.
      ~*~

Lance opened his eyes the next morning and the light blinded him.  He groaned and got out of bed.  Justin whimpered.  Lance smiled.

Justin, its 9:30, time to get up.

Dont want to.  Besides, its Saturday.

Lance shook his head.  Im going to see if the girls are up.

Mm.  Did the baby cry last night?  I thought I heard him.

Lance looked at Justin.  I dont think so.

Justin raised his eyebrow and Lance went to check the girls room.  He was shocked to see that they werent in bed.  He went downstairs.  None of them were there.

Justin, I cant find the girls. He said, going into their bedroom.

Check the babys room. Justin said, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

Okay, come on.  Lance went to the bedroom and opened the door.  The light was one.  He went to the crib and his eyes widened.  Justin, come here. He whispered.

Justin looked at him, confused, before walking over.  He looked into the crib and he gasped softly.

He must have cried.  Look, the bottles empty. Lance picked it up.

Justin nodded.  Maybe the girls stayed with him.

But, how?  They never wake up.

Kristines here. Justin ran a hand over her curls.   Oh, this is too confusing.

Yeah, but, really cute.

Justin smiled.  Kimberly had turned away from the baby and was facing the window.  Carrie had her legs on Kimberlys and her arms were to her sides.  Kristine was curled into a tiny ball while Shawn was on his tummy.  Get the camera, quick.

Okay.

Lance ran downstairs and went to the counter.  He saw that the marker was out of the bowl.  He looked at the calendar and saw that it was bent.  He lifted up the pages and saw a black circle over the fourth of May, his birthday.  He crinkled his eyebrow and picked up the camera.  He went back upstairs.

I think the girls were awake last night.  The calendar has a circle around my birthday.

Huh.  Maybe they heard the baby then.

Lance shrugged and took pictures of the sleeping kids at different angles.  After that was done, Justin scooped Kristine up and carried her downstairs to the couch.  Lance gently pulled Carrie out of the crib and carried her downstairs and put her on the other side of Kristine.  Justin went up and came down with Kimberly in his arms.  He put her on a blanket on the floor.  Lance went upstairs and came down with his newborn son.  He put the baby in the baby carrier and sighed.

Poor kids.  So tired.

Yeah.

A few minutes later, Kimberly opened her eyes and, noticing she was in the living room, sat up with a start.  She ran into the kitchen and bumped into Lance.

Im sorry dada!  The baby was crying and I didnt want to get in trouble for being awake so Carrie and I made his bottle and then we fed him and Kristine woke up and Carrie got her and they fell asleep and I just closed my eyes for a few minutes and then I woke up here!  Im sorry I didnt get you or daddy.

Oh, honey, its okay. He picked her up and hugged her.  Daddy and I arent mad at you.  Yes, we were quite confused about why you were in the babys crib but as long as nobody was hurt, its okay.  Just remember if the baby is awake and neither me or daddy wakes up, come and wake us up, okay?

Okay.

Lance kissed her forehead and put her down.
      ~*~*~*

Carrie grabbed the phone and looked at the speed dial before finding JCs name.  She smiled widely and walked out into the backyard.  She sat on a chair and waited.

Hello? An exasperated voice asked.

Brianna, its Carrie, is your dad there?

Which one, Carrie?

Joey!

Hold on. She heard rustling and Brianna tell Joey it was Carrie.  Carrie?

Uncle Joey!  Kimberly and I remembered something last night.

What did you remember?

We wanted to have a surprise party for dada!

Really?  Wow, that sounds like a fabulous idea.  Ill tell JC and Chris and well call Justin about it, okay?

Okay!  Why did Brianna sound so mean on the phone?

Oh, Im sorry, baby, shes just been trying to learn how to change the babys diaper but its becoming a bit hard for her and shes getting upset.

Shell do great!  Kimberly fed Shawn a bottle last night and me, her, and Kristine fell asleep in Shawns crib.

What? Joey laughed.

Daddy will tell you later.

Okay.  Well Im going to call then Chris and Ill call your daddys cell phone.

Okay!  I love you Uncle Joey.

I love you too, kiddo.

Carrie hung up and giggled madly.  Justin, who passed the door, stopped and looked at her.  Carrie looked at him and smiled innocently.

Justin shook his head.  I am not going to ask.  No matter how much I want to, I wont ask.

Carrie laughed.  She went inside and put the phone back.

Pretty soon, Justin had been called and now knew the plan and why his middle child was laughing like a maniac earlier.  Lance was to be kept in the dark and all four guys chipped in to get the girls all the candy they wanted if they kept their mouths shut.  Brianna was good at this sort of thing so she didnt need to be told what to do.

When Kimberly and Carrie were at school, and Lance at work, Justin picked Kristine up and put her in the car seat in the car.  He then got Shawn and the baby bags before getting into the car and driving to Joey and JCs place.

When he got there, JC had put Dylan to bed so Justin put the baby carrier next to the couch and let Kristine go play in the toy room before going into the kitchen and sitting at the kitchen table beside JC, Joey, and Chris.

Okay.  So, we have a big party or a small one with just friends and family?

Probably since well have all of the kids around, we should have a small party.

Oh wait!  I think we could pull off a big party. Chris said.

The guys looked at him.

Remember when Lance signed on Jenny, Carrie had just been born so Kimberly was about seventeen months and Carrie was two months.  Well, Kristine will be two and Shawn will be two months and Dylan will be nineteen months.  Itll be okay.

All right.  So well have a big party.  Who do we invite?

Ummaybe Britney knows some people.

Are you sure?  I mean, Britney gets a little extravagant in that area.

Yeah, I know but we love her anyway. Justin said.

Joey threw a piece of lettuce at him.  Justin just ate it.

Okay, so well ask Britney.  Lances family, of course, and Justins parents.  Hmm, lets see, who else?

A lot of people?

Chris laughed.  Remind me again that were broken up.

We broke up. Joey, Justin, and JC said in unison.

Thanks.

Dont mention it. JC ate a carrot.

Justin stifled a laugh.  They heard crying and Justin got up.  He came back in a few minutes later, feeding Shawn a bottle.

Okay, so lets get to work.

Three hours later and a big lunch later, they had made a lot of phone calls, made a plan, and came up with a way to keep Lance from getting suspicious.  JC gave the party guests his number so they didnt call Lances house and Lance answered the phone.  Chris had left ten minutes earlier to get Brianna, Kimberly, Carrie, and Michael while JC, Joey, and Justin fussed over the babies and argued over what kind of cake to use.  Lance had phoned half an hour ago looking for Justin.  He told Justin hed be a little late so hold off dinner till 8:30.  Pretty soon, Chris came back and Justin held out his arms for Kimberly and Carrie.

Daddy! They hugged and kissed him before going to do homework with Brianna and Michael after they had hugged and kissed Joey, JC and Dylan.

I think we can pull this party off.  Its going to be terrific.  Now remember Dylan. Justin put Dylan in his lap.  Your Uncle Lance can make a little babbling baby tell a secret.  Remember to never fall for it or the tickle monster is coming back to town.

Dylan squealed and yelled for his daddy.  Justin laughed and handed him to JC, who rocked Dylan.  Dylan stayed close to get away from Justins tickling fingers.  Joey and Chris laughed while Justin smiled.

Two months later, Lance still had no idea about the party.  Everybody who was everybody would be there.  Even though Lance and Justins house was big, they decided to rent out a restaurant for Lance.  All Lance thought was that his mom and dad were taking him out to dinner and Justin and the kids would meet him.  Everyone had on nice clothes.  Justin had dressed Kimberly and Carrie alike in light pink dresses with little bows in their hair.  They had little white tights on and pink sandals.  Brianna was in her red and white striped party dress and Britney had put two braids in her hair.  Michael was wearing nice dress pants and a blue t-shirt.  Dylan was wearing jeans, a t-shirt and his new shoes that JC knew would get dirty.  Kristine had on a blue dress that Joey had bought her for her birthday.  She had on sandals and her hair was held up in a ponytail.  All of the adults there were dressed in nice clothes.  Justin was wearing his nice tan slacks and a silk beige dress shirt.  He had Shawn in his arms and was rocking him to sleep.  Everyone looked nice and couldnt wait for Lance to get here.

Theyre here! Kimberly and Brianna called from the door.

Okay.  Brianna, when daddy tells you to, turn on the lights okay?  Wait for my signal.

Okay.  She nodded at Joey.  Kimberly ran to Chris and he picked her up.  Carrie growled.

Hey!

Come here, you.  He lifted Carrie up and she giggled as Chris held them both.  Kristine felt betrayed so she went over to Joey and held up her arms.  Joey grabbed her hands and lifted her up before holding her close.  Michael stood close to his fathers.  Brianna waited until everyone was situated before turning off the lights.

The door opened and Lance walked in with his parents.

Hey who turned out the lights? He asked.

Brianna squinted her eyes to see her dad.  Joey pulled on his ear.  Brianna smiled and turned on the lights.

SURPRISE! Everyone yelled.

Lance blinked to get used to the light and then smiled widely.  Oh mymom?  Dad, did you know about this? He turned to them.

They smiled.  Happy birthday honey.  They hugged him.  Lance turned back to the guests and Justin walked up to him.

Thank you baby.  He kissed Justin and then kissed Shawns forehead.  Brianna ran over and Lance hugged and kissed his Goddaughter.  Chris walked over and Lance took Carrie and hugged her tightly.  He set her down and then hugged Kimberly and Chris.  Thank you so much!  How did you guys keep it secret?

Lots of candy.

That figures.

Everyone laughed and Lance kissed Kristine and hugged Joey.  He walked over to JC and smiled seeing Dylan falling asleep.  He kissed his temple and hugged JC before hugging Michael and everyone else.

Guys, thank you so much.  This waswow, I am so shocked.

Carrie ran over and Lance held her tightly.

It was Kimberlys idea!  Thats why we were awake when Shawn cried.

Oh, thats why.  I understand now.  He kissed her hair and she giggled.

Daddy dont mess up my hair!

Oh, Im sorry.

Pwesents! Kristine yelled pointing at the huge stack on the table.

Justin laughed.  Yes, sweetie, those are lots of presents for dada.

Dada over there?

Yes.  Go to him.

She ran over to Lance and he picked her up, holding both her and Carrie.

A little bit into the party, Britney asked the guys to sing.

Britney, no, we havent sung since Kimberly was born. JC said.

Come on!  Just two songs?  Please?  She pouted.

Lance sighed.  What the heck?

Justin smiled and shook his head.  JC handed Dylan to Britney and she also took Kristine.  Both kids were falling asleep.

Justins mother took Shawn and Carrie ran into Stacys arms.  Kimberly, Brianna and Michael stayed close to Lances parents.

The guys had fun singing on stage and the kids rocked out.  Britney swung side to side and made faces at Dylan and Kristine.  The two kids looked up and pointed at their parents.  Britney laughed heartedly and nodded.  After the fourth song, which was God Must Have Spent, Dylan and Kristine were fast asleep.  Britney sat on a chair and smiled at the guys.  She clapped as best as she could with two sleeping kids in her arms.

When the guys finished, Joey walked over and gently took Dylan from her.  Dylan wrapped his arms around JC in his sleep.  Justin walked over and took Kristine, holding her close.

By the time everyone left, all of the kids were asleep.  Brianna was sprawled across Joeys lap and Michael was sleeping in Steves arms while Stacy was holding Carrie and Kimberly were in Jims arms.  Diane had Kristine and Britney had Dylan.  Justin had Shawn.

Hey, JC, take him.  Im going to go.

Okay.  JC picked Michael up and held onto him.

Lance walked over.  Thanks for coming man.

No problem.  Happy birthday.  See you later, bro.  He hugged Joey and kissed Briannas forehead.

See ya later, man.

When Steve left, Joey sighed.  We better get these kids home.  Britney, could you bring Dylan out to the car.

Of course Joe.  Ill be right back, Lance.

All right.  Thanks for everything.  Lance hugged his friends.

Youre welcome.  Call me.

I will.

They left and a few minutes later, Britney came back.

Diane walked over with Kristine.  Lance, how about Jim and I take the kids?  You and Justin deserve some alone time.

Are you sure mom?

Hey, its all right, Lance.  Happy birthday, baby.

Okay.  Ill walk you out to the car.  Everyone followed Diane to the car.  Lance got out the two car seats and put them in the van.  Diane put Kristine in and Justin put Shawn in his seat and set the baby bag beside him.  Jim put Kimberly in between the car seats and Stacy held Carrie close as she left.

Bye Lance.  Happy birthday.

Bye mom.  Remember, the babys milk needs to be lukewarm.

I remember baby.  Lance hugged his sister, dad, and mom before they left.  Lance sighed and looked at Britney and Justin.

Well I am going to head back home.  Happy birthday Lance.  She hugged him.

Thanks Brit.

When she left, Lance looked at Justin.  So, how about we head home and I show you how much I appreciate you doing this.  Lance wiggled his eyebrows.

Justin laughed.  Really?  Show me the way.

Lance dramatically led Justin to their car and made sure Justin wouldnt be able to sit comfortably for a week.  Justin grinned.

Six months later.

Lance picked Shawn up and took him downstairs.  He got out the bottle of milk and warmed it up.  He sat at the kitchen table and fed him.  Shawn sleepily looked up at his father.  Lance smiled.  Lance heard footsteps and looked up seeing Carrie walk down, holding Kristines hand.

Hey, what are you two doing up?

We heard Shawn and Kristine wouldnt go back to sleep and I was also hungry.

Okay.  Honey, why dont you have a peach and then you can go back upstairs.  Make sure not to wake up Kimberly.

Okay daddy.

Daddy. Kristine said walking up to him.

Yes, baby?

Shawn okay? She asked with huge aqua eyes.

Lance smiled.  Hes okay.  Hes just a little hungry.

Justin walked downstairs and smiled.  Having a party without me?

Oh, the girls just couldnt sleep.  Justin could you get Kristine back to sleep?

Okay.  Come on sweetie.

Kristine reached for him and Justin picked her up while Carrie ate her peach.

Ill be right back.

Kristine yawned and put her head on Justins shoulder as he carried her upstairs.  Carrie finished her peach, washed her hands and kissed Lance and Shawn good night.

Night sweetie.  Sleep good.

Love you daddy.

Love you too.

Carrie went upstairs as Justin came down.

Hey.

Hey.

Justin looked down at the sleeping baby.  Do you want me to take him?

No, I got him.  Justin?

Hmm?

I love you.

I love you too.

Our familys complete now.

Justin smiled and kissed him softly.
