Laureates are selected for induction into the Halton Business Hall of Fame for their "outstanding and enduring contribution to improving the products, the processes, the efficiencies and the human relations of business."

Generally speaking, nominees must have had local business involvement and be considered as a "senior statesperson" in the enterprise in the enterprise in which they gained their prominence.

• Nominations may be submitted by any person who resides in or works in the region of Halton.
• Nominees must operate a business/enterprise in the region of Halton.
• All nominations must include a resume, cv or personal biography as well as supplemental information about the nominee, covering each of the key areas as outlined in the Nomination Criteria (maximum 5 pages).
• Nominations may be mailed or faxed to:

• Closing date for receipt of all nominations is 12:00 midnight, Thursday, February 15, 2002.
• All nominees will be contacted by Junior Achievement of Halton in order to advise and congratulate them on their nomination.
• Selection committee members will not be allowed to contact nominees directly regarding their nomination.
• All requests for additional information from the nominees will be coordinated through the Junior Achievement of Halton office.
• The selection committee will evaluate each nomination based on the information submitted in the original nomination as well as supplemental information gathered from existing public records.
• The selection committee will confirm Laureates for the 2002 Halton Business Hall of Fame by a date to be announced.
• Laureates will be inducted into the Halton Business Hall of Fame - 2002 (Date to be Announced)^th

The following criteria will be used by the 2002 Halton Business Hall of Fame Selection Committee.

Each nomination must be accompanied by supplemental information explaining how the nominee contributes to each area in the Nomination Criteria.
