Trimming the rear wheel arch to take the new 17" 335 wheels and tyres. This was done just over the lip of the existing arch then welding in a piece of metal from the  existing inner arch and outer wing to form the new inner arches.
Rear Light Conversion.
To make life easier i purchased a facelift boot lid and then fitted the new rear light aperatures and also the rear plate to bolt the new lights to.The gap between the new aperatures and original lights was made out of 2 pieces of plate  welded together and then welded in place and  filled over for finishing.
Rear Side Window Conversion.
This was  relatively simple cutting aroung to form the new window shape and a piece of box section added for strength and also so the interior trim could be fixed to not forgetting not to cover the vent to alleviate the air pressure build up when closing the doors. The new windows were a simple bolt into position with plenty of sealant to stop leaks.
Fitting the door handles was a little more complicating due to the fact they operate in an oposite direction to the originals. After many hours of head scratching this was accomplished with an added pin and a small amount of bending to original opening mechanism.

I wanted to use XK door handles but i also wanted the car delocked so i purchased the 'rear' door handles from a XJ8 being of the same design as the XK.

(This was not a very cheap option)
