Our dogs are pets first, showdogs second and breeding stock third. We do not breed from our animals simply to get a litter out of them. Our girls have to meet our stringent criteria before we even consider breeding.
- Do they conform to the breed standard ?
- Do they have any of the five hereditary diseases that are known to be a problem in Bull Terriers ?
3. Polycystic kidney disease
- Do their temperaments fall within what we consider to be the most important attribute of the breed.
- Normally we will only have one stud dog in the kennel, he is subjected to all the above conditions along with 6 monthy testing to make sure he is first class condition.
These are some but not all the things we look for before breeding.
