Riding my bike east from Ponta Delgada the road was nice and paved until reaching the town of Sao Roque. Here the road, congested with traffic, narrowed as it passed through the town with the front doors of side by side housing right along the street. The popular beach "Praia de Populo" is a short distance away from here. Next came the towns of Lagoa and Santa Cruz before the long haul to Villa Franca. |
