The Faerie's Song

A child in his deep sleep,
Surrounded by darkness so deep,
Soft is the faerie's sweet song,
In a land where there is no wrong.

"Sleep well, oh little child,
while I'll sing to you a-while,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"Come to the dream land,
where whatever you want, you can,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"Ride the pegasus's back, upon
the road that leads to the sprites' pond,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"Splash and play with the mermaid childs,
then visit the wooden wilds,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"There you'll find the satyrs,
and their dance that never wavers,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"You'll come to the centaurs,
and their wisdom may be yours,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"Then go and see the unicorn,
be blessed and touch her holy horn,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"She'll take you round the city grand,
to the greatest tower in the land,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"And there you'll find the wizard old,
whose secrets he has never told,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"He'll grant you a wish, a magic spell,
so, child, make sure you think wise and well,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"Then to the Fae Land you will come,
there you can leap, and roam and run,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

"Till at last your end of jouney arrives,
then 'tis time for you to arise,"
Sings the faerie's song,
In the land where there is no wrong.

The child awakens, and finds it all a dream,
No tear is shed for the child knows and sees,
That though the dreams may be no more,
The faerie will always be in the land of no wrong.
