Still Your Child

Still just your child,
That's what I am
The facade to the world
As a grown-up
Is just that

Still just a child,
Wanting mama's approval
Harsh words sting worse
At home than from
Anywhere else.

Stil just a child,
From your own womb,
Did you push my away,
When I was still in the cradle?

Still just your child,
Which you made,
I'm me,
Why aren't you proud
Of your own handiwork?

Still just your child,
You very own baby girl,
If you're ashamed of me,
Should I just leave your life?
