Simon Reeve :
Born : 1st January 5 AM ( 25 yrs
)
Simon looks like a young mirror image
of Reeve, down to the goatee except for the blond hair.
History? : It all began about 2 AM
during a boring convention after President Reeve had finally finished another
round of arguments with opposition front, Scarlet. ( They’d been fighting
over control of Shin-ra and Reeve had won the election. ) According to
reports ( a.k.a. political gossip) Scarlet left for the bathroom, and Reeve
soon followed. They never came back to finish the meeting. They were later
spotted having dinner together. Combining the fronts, Reeve and Scarlet
were married and the Shin-Ra building now rocks with the screaming fits
and loud arguments from the President’s office at rather irregular intervals.
It became customary to pray they’d go into the Vice-President’s office
whenever that happened. Everyone knew that would keep them quiet… or not.
Ssshh.
However their relationship
at the office, their family life was one with rosy outlook. Outside the
Shin-ra building, Reeve and Scarlet were the most amenable couple and this
led to the birth of their son Simon. The President and Vice-President are
visibly proud of their son, who divides his time between Shin-ra, Avalanche
and… girls.
Simon’s best weapon is the
Sliding Rifle, and his Limit Break is called Bullet Hailstorm. His current
interests include mechanics and the new captain of the Highwind.
Magdalena Highwind :
Born : 11th July 5 AM ( 25 yrs )
Magdalena has long blond hair and
blue eyes. She wears a greasy pilot’s uniform unless she’s not in business.
History? : After business had settled
down, the notoriously foul-mouthed Captain Cid Highwind had married the
love of his life, Shera. The happy union produced their beautiful daugher,
Magdalena. As determined and unfortunately as foul-mouthed as her father,
Magdalena was recently named Captain of the Highwind. Blond and blue-eyed
just like her father, she excels in mechanics and if there was a subject
for bowling over boys, she’d get an “A” every time.
Leaving a trail of broken hearts
wherever she goes, she has taken the youngest member of Avalanche under
her wing. Knowing full well of Storm’s affections for Lucrecia, all the
other young members of Avalanche and the Turks love teasing him, Magdalena
in the lead. Magdalena and Simon often exchange playful banters, though
Cid occasionally huffs and puffs about ‘that goatee-d schmuck-ass getting
too damn close to her’.
Not long after she entered university,
she met Lucrecia Kisaragi and the two girls became friends. Part of her
social circuit in school also included Turk member Politesse. Lucrecia
and Magdalena formed the duo Angels of the Sky, which becomes a trio whenever
Politesse is in town.
Like her father, Magdalena’s
favourite weapon is the spear, though her best weapon is the Singing Bow.
Her Limit Break is Starry Arrow. And unlike her father, she has the unfortunate
tendency to smoke while working on the Tiny Bronco.
Lucrecia Kisaragi :
Born : 14th Febuary 9 AM ( 21 yrs
)
Lucrecia has long, black hair like
Vincent, looks like Yuffie, and amber eyes. Occasionally she sports a bluish
bandanna on her forehead.
History? : Perhaps the oddest union
ever would be that of head-strong materia thief Yuffie Kisaragi and the
silent, brooding Vincent Valentine. Yuffie had become First Lady of Wutai
after her father, Godo, had stepped down from the throne for her and despite
being pestered to produce an heir, Yuffie refused to marry, wanting the
throne to stay in the Kisaragi line. Vincent, who had taken to wandering,
had been visiting Wutai at that time and he and Yuffie became close… and
close was the word.
The offspring from this affair
were twins : Godo, named after Yuffie’s father, and Lucrecia, named after
the love of Vincent’s life. Yuffie and Vincent had an understanding : Yuffie
would keep Godo and groom him to rule Wutai, while Vincent had full custody
of Lucrecia.
Lucrecia spent her first years in
Wutai, after which Vincent gave her a choice, to be with her mother or
him. She chose him. Growing up with a keen interest in science, Lucrecia
excelled in the best schools of Midgar. She is a gentle, loving young woman
with kind words for everyone. Besides the sciences, Lucrecia also excels
in dancing and has an excellent soprano voice, which is used to the greatest
effects in Angels of the Sky.
Everyone knows of Storm's interest
in her and everyone has seen him staring at her at least once. It's a really
cute sight. ^_^
When Lucrecia turned twenty-one
recently, Yuffie gave her Conformer. Lucrecia’s Limit Break is an obscure
spell called Soul Completion. Minor versions of this spell are meant to
free other people from the effects of manipulate materia. The Limit Break
itself is supposed to heal the so called 'mind-damage' caused by Storm's
Ultimate Heartstorm.
Cid Highwind : He’s still old, and he still curses, but Captain Cid has given up smoking. Sixty-two with a walking stick that’s more often used in attempts to thump Simon for being ‘too damn close to m’daughter’, Cid is a delightfully querulous man who still loves the sky, still wants to go out into space, and still loves Shera, who ages gracefully with him by his side. Cid is quite strong for a man his age, and he and Shera are often in the airfield helping Magdalena. Both of them are proud of their little Maggie, and Cid becomes more and more hopeful of getting up into space with every passing year and advancement.
Yuffie Kisaragi is First Lady of Wutai and grooms her son, Godo, to become the next ruler. She has strong feelings for Vincent, but feels he would never forget his first love, so she has given up. However, she is not married and continues to enjoy Vincent’s company whenever he comes to Wutai. Besides Godo and Lucrecia, she has a younger daughter also fathered by Vincent called Akiranni, now sixteen and just as annoying as Yuffie at that age.
Barret Wallace died of lung cancer at the age of forty-four, but Marlene, his daughter, now thirty-four, is the proud mother of four children, all of whom intend to join Avalanche when they grow older.
Nanaki, or Red XIII, is now a respected scholar and has the duty as Protector of Cosmo Canyon. Not long after Meteor, strange reports of beasts like him began to crop up around Junon area. Red went to investigate, and found a tribe of his own kind living underground. Lucrecia classifies them as a different strain, but definitely the same species as Nanaki. He led them from underground and has given them a home in Cosmo Canyon, where some still live in caves of the Gi. Currently, he is enamoured with one of his kind, called Salene.
Cait Sith is Reeve. What else is there to say?
Erratic and Politesse ( called the
Inseperable ), aged 28 and 25
Erratic looks like Reno minus the
scars. Nuff said.
Politesse has blond hair like Elena
and like Rude, wears sunglasses all the time.
History? : Distraught from Tseng’s
death, Elena had allowed herself a brief affair with colleague Reno, which
led to a marriage. It was a disastrous union. Reno was not very compatible
with Elena’s personality, and eventually it led to an amicable divorce.
Still, they had a child, a son called Erratic, whom Elena and Reno both
shared custody of. Not long later, Elena finally married Rude and they,
too, had a daughter.
Named Politesse in hopes of her NOT
being like her father, she is a young woman who maintains a polite façade
even when throwing an insult. Her voice has a rich alto quality to it even
when she speaks and she makes Angels of the Sky a trio whenver she's in
town with Avalanche. Occasionally, she will sing while Erratic plays the
guitar.
Erratic, like Reno in his wilder
years, is charming, ruthless and quite without scruples, often alarming
his mother while sending his father into chuckles with countless scandals
in the social circuit. Like Reno and Rude, Eraine and Politesse are the
best of friends, only three years apart in age. Erratic is extremely protective
of Politesse, especially since the other two members of the Turks are males.
Both half siblings are aware of their leader’s involvement in the past
with their parents, and BEFORE, and are respectful of Vincent’s reputation
as an ex-Turk, sixty years before.
Runner, aged 26
Runner has long black hair
and an athletic figure. Elena often wistfully refers to him as Tseng’s
junior.
History? : The Turk closest to Vincent,
his head flutters between Politesse, Lucrecia and Captain Magdalena. Runner
has had an extremely bad history. Growing up with absent parents, Vincent
literally picked him up as he was stumbling through an alley in Midgar.
He was only ten at that time, and whenever Vincent passed by Midgar, Runner
always made it a point to see him. As much as possible, he tried to emulate
Vincent’s manner, and eventually made it through school. When the Turks
were re-formed, Vincent invited him to join, and Runner ran up to be with
the man who’d given him his life.
Blazer, aged 27
Blazer has sandy brown hair and looks
as arrogant as he acts.
History? : Blazer is essentially
in the Turks for the money. He needs it to support his family who are forever
in debt, due to his parents’ incessant gambling and drugtaking. Although
brash and arrogant on the outside, Blazer is a sensitive elder brother
to his little sister, Kandi. Blazer used to make it good in the gamerooms,
where he was certainly better at gambling than his parents. It was there
that Erratic met him and invited him to join the Turks. Blazer, like the
rest of the Turks, admires Vincent and respects the older man’s history
with Avalanche.
