I
am a TV addict have been since I first saw a box. In my adult years the shows that have interested me have
deliberately run for seven years. I
bitched about that but watching JAG in year eight I begin to understand the
logic of the seven-year itch.
So
here we are: Harm and Mac are to
investigate SEAL operation in Afghanistan that went south to put it
mildly. The television news reporter
accompanying the SEALs Stewart Dunstan finds himself charged for disobeying
orders for it seems when at war civilians accompanying a Unit are subject to
the chain of command and the UCMJ. So
folks we are heading for a court martial.
Hey if Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson could consider it then so can GW
Bush!
Imagine
Dunstan’s horror:
Stewart Dunstan (on being charged): You’re kidding.
Harm: You’re in the NAVY now
In
the meantime TBTP are sowing trouble for the Roberts’, Bud has received his
orders and ships out for a six-month deployment aboard a ship he knows the USS
Seahawk. What is the FIRST thing he does? Not tell Harriett that a woman is his
assistant and two that it is PO Coates. You don’t have to be Miss Cleo to spot
that storm approaching!
Ambition
is a hell of a monkey to have riding you and Singer is on a roll. The kid glove approach of the Admiral is not
working…
AJ: Bucking for a trip to Italy Lieutenant?
Singer: I have been studying Italian Sir.
Tiner: Commander Rabb and colonel Mackenzie are waiting for you in
your office sir.
AJ (softly); Thank you Tiner
Tiner: Anytime sir.
Neither
is the hard comments of others like Harriett or even the teasing of some.
Singer: I should get a dog.
Mac and Harm (together): Pit bull
Despite
my opening comments on the seven year itch, I’m glad to see that Mac back in
stride. She cracked this case with her
knowledge of Farsi. I suppose having been told that she speaks it with an
American accent (The Black Jet) she’s not aware of who does and doesn’t speak
like a native.
And
yep she gets the last word in …
Mac (to Harm and Sturgis): Don’t look at me I wasn’t wrong about
anything.
All
in all another three smile episode.
