Joe has an AOS Degree in Massage Therapy from the Swedish Institute in New York, and is nationally certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB). He is licensed in the states of New York and Arizona and is a current member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). Joe has also worked with the USTA as a staff massage therapist at the US Open Tennis Tournament, Mens Professional Division each year performing pre, post and maintenance sports massage. For personal health and recreation, Joe is currently a registered Black Belt in Songahm Taekwondo with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) and has ongoing studies in both Kok Sool Won and Tai Chi.
The focus of his training in therapeutic massage was split between the Western and Eastern modalities with emphasis on chronic pain management utilizing deep tissue, trigger point and neuromuscular techniques.
He combines his knowledge of energetic meridians and accupressure points with the various types of deep tissue therapies allowing him to achieve a unique form of client centered bodywork. Which focuses on the current and long term needs of the client. It also helps to facilitate a muscular and emotional release which stimulates the balance of mind, body, and spirit, allowing for a greater overall feeling of health, self awareness and helps create a strong base for fostering a rejuvenated quality of life.
