This place is located in the southeastern part of the Huline Jungle. To get to it, a small lake of a pink liquid must be crossed. Beware though! If you try to cross the bridge as the beast, it will break and you will drown. But have no fear; if you are impatient to turn back into Luther then all you have to do is walk along the right side of the pink lake- just keep close to the wall.
The Huline here are a bit more nice, especially the gardener in the back (who claims to have been a former General). The monastery also holds a small library in which you can talk to Dawn for the first time. The Mystic is very helpful and it would not be smart to try and harm her. In another room in the monastery you can meet Brother Julian after talking with Dawn. He just may be able to help you with your curse- or send you on a small but exciting journey which almost gets you killed that turns out all for nothing- but we doubt the latter is the case.
There is an optional adventure here. If you go into a certain room in the monastery you will meet a traveler named Rix. A human, but as stuck up as most of the Huline. Once he leaves enter the back door. You will find yourself in a room full of boxes and a bookshelf. If you have a bow, which you should, shoot at the top right of the bookcase. A hole should form. Pile the boxes up to the hole and jump in.
It is very dark and very creepy down here. I had this game for over a year before I gathered enough guts to do this small quest. For me, it was well worth the effort (mainly because you can get a speaking stone down here, and I was collecting all of them). There are a bunch of goodies down here, but there are also ghosts of men who locked themselves up in the monastery by accident thousands of years ago, and they wouldn't mind keeping someone new to talk to. Your best bet is to quickly hack at them with your sword until they are dead.
There is one room where you can let sunlight in if you pull on the chains, and trees that bear Vel's Fruit grow. You should take the fruit, as it heals poison. And the only way out of here is not the way you came in- since you jumped down from another bookshelf and can't get back up. And so you must make your way through the long halls- you may even run into Rix again. Kill him and you get his plasma staff.
In the final room once you reach it- if you reach it- is a big blue floating ball. There is no way to destroy it, and it produces ghosts more quickly than you can destroy them. You will notice one of the walls on the far end seems as if it is breakable. Notice all the boxes in the hall are full of dynamite?
On your second visit to the monastery, if you did what Julian requested, he should give you a power orb. There are at least two ways you can use this to your advantage. The first would be to go to the Huline Village (if you didn't kill Anyar) and give it to the magician so he will fix Thohan's Great Sword. The second way is to give it to Kit'yara to get Firestorm- also if you did not kill Kelsrick or Anyar.
