Ban isn't exactly the nice, gentlemanly guy we all dream about. He's greedy, selfish, rude, violent...you get the picture. He's not really a likable person. But he does have a good side, mind you. He's pretty loyal to his friends, he's reliable when someone's in need of help, and he does have a soft side. He's also a very cultured person, no matter how brusque he seems to be. He knows how to play the violin and he's good at identifying quality paintings. I don't know much about his history other than the fact that his grabdmother taught him how to use the Evil Eye and other techniques invovling his 200-kg grip, that he joined up with Himiko and her older brother (whom he apparently killed), and that he eventually ended up forming the Get Backers with Ginji after leaving Mugenjyou. I guess I have to wait for future episodes of Get Backers to get to know him better (damn Animax, they restarted the series right after the Makubex episodes >_<).
