Nicole Thomas on....
Being invloved: I am a captain of the cheerleading squad, Student Government Assosciation Treasurer and Assistant Editor of the Guiding Light Yearbook and the President of Collins Hall again.

Your Major:  "My major as of right now is Art and Journalism, but I think I am going to change it to Kinesiology (I hope I spelled that right) and become a coach and own my own cheer gym.  And maybe I'll do photography on the side so I will have something to fall back on.  This is my 3rd year here and I dont plan on being here for a 4th.  3 years is too long to stay at a Jr. College.  I'll hopefully be getting my Associates in May if all goes as planned."

Being a JBC Cheerleader:  "I was so happy when the sponsor called me the day we tried out and told me I had made the team.  I was so estatic.  I think overall, despite all the happenings that went on, I had a pretty good 1st year cheering in college."

Being a captain: "This is going to sound really cheesy, but I feel honor to be a captain.  I have never been the 'head hanco' before.  It's kind of new to me.  I was the co-captain of my JV squad in HS, but I got moved up to Varsity and I never really got the chance to prove myself as a captain.  I love being the captain of this squad and I am looking forward to cheering with everyone.  I have already cheered with OC and she makes cheering even more fun for me because I ALWAYS have someone to laugh at during the games."

The Rest of the Squad: "I love this group of girls.  Next year is going to be so fun for me. "

Scarlett:  I met Scarlett at a Jag Day last school year and she made me want to come back for a 3rd year.  I had been up in the air about it but when I saw how much she had a love for cheerleading, it made me want to come back.  Some of the girls that I had cheered with that year didnt have that love that Scarlett had (OC you know who I'm talkin about).

Heather Dixon:  Heather is probably one of the sweetest people I have ever met.  She always has a smile on her face and it is very contagious.

Chasidy: I have known Chasidy for almost two years.  I always thought that she was one of the coolest people on campus (along with Thresea and Janika).

Janika: Jan is flippin' hilarious.  She is always crackin me up about stuff (especially in Algebra class)

Cassie: Cassie is sweet. She always has something that she wants to contribute to make us a better team, which I am thankful for.

Melissa:  Melissa is one of my favorites.  She always has something to contribute to our performances and is always coming up with ideas for us to do.

Heather Heath: This Heather always has something funny to say.  She cracks me up in the middle of practice.

O
C:  And last but not least, OC .  I am going to start calling OC my road dog because the week of homecoming (Chubby's) until about the end of the year me and OC just kinda hung out and went places together.  I admire how she both stepped up last year when the squad had its squabbles (the 2-hour meeting in Dec.) and didnt care if she hurt anyone's feelings.  I am glad she was there when CERTAIN PEOPLE  didnt show up for tryouts this spring and wanted to take over every dang thing there was to take over and brag about herself all the time.  I look forward to cheering with all of you this year and will miss you when I leave in May!
