Origin of the name Guybrush

The creaters of the "Secret of Monkey Island" had a lead character with no name. His picture was saved on an application which saved the files as ".brush". The character with no name was called "Guy", hence the name Guybrush. Threepwood was a name chosen from a company contest.

Ron Gilbert, The creater of monkey Island got his idea from a ride at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida called "Pirates of The Caribbean"
