Chakras come from East Indian philosophy. There are seven main chakras, or psychic centers. Each forms a bridge that converts pure energy into various forms and connects the spiritual, mental, astral, and physical bodies together. The placement of chakras on the body correlates with the major accupuncture points.
The chakras are by three major nadies (psychic nerve networks), which run parallel to each other along the spinal cord. The left nadi, or the ida nadi, has yin characteristics. The middle, or sushumna nadi, has neutral characteristics, and the right, or pingala nadi, has yang characteristics.
Chakras are visible to clairvoyant sight as rotating, coloured cirlces or funnels. In the east, they're described as lotuses, and in the west as Spirit Tunnels. Each chakra has its own colour, sound, and pitch that invoke it.
