I'm the main writer for the Opinions column for the newsletter, Polaris.I've been involved
in Paganism since I was thirteen, and today my spirituality is a cross Wicca and Celtic
spirituality. I have a unique perspective on relating to conservative (a.k.a. closed minded
people who think Pagainsm is devil-worshipping and won't change their minds) adults
and parents that I believe will help the readers. I am outspoken in writing, so I want
people to reply. In person, I'm pretty meek, though. I will, of course, try to accommodate
everyone, and not upset too many people (hehehe). Anywho, a bunch of friends and I
thought that we should have a club in school for Pagan students and those who wanted to
understand them. Together, we formed PACT (Pagan Awareness Coalition for Teens) in
2001, the first club of its type in the state of Nebraska. The club has had its rough times,
but now its flourishing. Next, the gang set their sights a bit higher and formed
OMAPACT (Omaha Metro Area Pagan Awareness Coalition for Teens). Our next step is
to form this newsletter, and get the word out about Pagan youth and the various questions
that are asked about Paganism. We look forward to hearing your comments and
questions.
