| BROKEN & CRUSHED At times I feel overwhelmed, consumed by pain and grief. It's not that I don't know that soon there will be relief. It's just that as I wait, the pain does not seem to abate. It doesn't mean I've lost my faith, it doesn't mean I'm weak. Even those of greatest faith at times felt things were bleak. They made mistakes of which they thought they'd never be forgiven. They also had to deal with pain they had been given. I see that I am not alone in dealing with this life, and all that does go with it, even the pain and strife. |
| (cont.) Just as Jehovah helped them through, as on him they relied, I know in my heart that just like them, he will do the same for me too. He doesn't cast aside those who love him through and through, whose hearts have been broken and crushed, sliced into two. They didn't always feel worthy, they didn't always see clear. But with a spirit so contrite, Jehovah did not abandon them to the night. Soon the sun will rise and all this darkness will be cast away. Until that time I look to your word to light my foot and roadway, every single day. |
