ADIANA AND KAUKO

Adiana and Kauko.
Two stars hanging in space,
neither knowing that they were actually stars.
To each, they were as low as they could be, and the stars they gazed at seemed so very far
away.
Looking up, filled with admiration, but no spaceship to take her to them.
Adiana reached out her arm, as if trying to touch them.
"So beautiful, but so much higher then me. "
Her gaze turned to the ground, and she pulled her arm back.
"I'll never be among them."
It seemed an insurmountable distance to Adiana, impossible to cross. How could she ever?
On the other side of the distance, another lonely soul.
"If only I had wings like a dove. Then I would fly to the stars above," thought Kauko to
himself.
"Who am I that they should descend to me?"
What neither knew is that between the two, a distortion in space was warping their view.
So the two hung in space, virtually side by side, but unable to see it.
One day, though, looking up, there was an amazing sight.
The distortion between the two lonely stars got a crack.
Through this crack Adiana peered, now seeing what was really there.

"Now I know the truth," Adiana said to Kauko.
"You are not so high, and I...
I am not so low."

"Adiana" means: the night's falling reveals the angels' beauty.
"Kauko" means: far away
