She didn’t have any nightmares so she never woke up to sneak
into Hank’s room. But
that did not mean she slept alone, this time Hank sought her out. A soft knocking gently woke Cindy up and her
eyes glowed so she could see. A dark
shadow fell across the room and Hank stood there uncertainly.
“Can I stay with
you?” he whispered and she grinned in the dark, he shut the door behind him walked
into her clean room.
“Hi there,
tiger,” she replied as she shifted so he would have room, “I’m glad you came.”
“I couldn’t
sleep without you,” he murmured pulling her up for a kiss, “no nightmares?”
“No, I didn’t
have one for once,” she said as she settled herself against him completely
contented, “sorry.”
“Why are you
apologizing, dearheart?”
“I wanted to
have one so I could sleep with you, Hank.”
“Maybe we should
just pick a room and stay there together,” he muttered.
“Sounds like a
plan to me,” she idly played with her fur, she loved how soft it felt.
“Can I ask you
something, Cindy?” he queried and when she did not reply he took that it was a
‘yes’, “When you first saw me…why did you smile? Most people would have flinched, did someone
warn you or something?”
“Why do you
ask?” she asked.
“Just curious,
scientific mind and all,” he muttered as he ran his fingers through her hair.
“I thought I was
in heaven when I saw you, such a beautiful man…I thought you were an angel,”
she said truthfully and he chuckled, “I’m serious.”
“But why would
you think that? Almost all of the X-men
flinched when they first met me,” he murmured.
“Because, love,
you shined,” she ran her hand up and down his chest and abs, “and your voice
was sexy, touch was gentle… I had to be in heaven.”
“You think my
voice is sexy?” he asked amused his deep voice rumbling in his chest, vibrating
against her cheek.
“I think you are
entirely sexy,” she replied leaning on her injured hand so she could kiss him,
“I love everything about you, inside and out.”
He was lost for
a moment in her kiss and pushed away gently, “You really shouldn’t lean on your
wounded arm like that. Doesn’t it hurt?”
“It does,” she
simply stated, settling herself against him once more, “but pain…I have been
used to it all of my life.”
“That isn’t
good,” he murmured gently caressing her injured arm, “I don’t like that you are
used to it.”
“I don’t
either,” she said and fell asleep with him playing with her hair.

“So what do I
need to do with it, Doc?” she asked the next day as he took her cast off.
“Physical
therapy,” he replied and she made a face, “I could always make it worth it.”
“Worth it? How?”
“I could always
shower you with kisses if you are good or in pain,” he suggested raising an eyebrow.
She giggled,
raising both arms to him and he stepped between them and leaned in for a soft
kiss, which ended more passionate than intended. She was his drug,
he could not get enough of her. Her
touches, her kisses, her in general, Henry would do anything for her if it
meant she would never leave.
She cleared her
throat and said, “Okay, that sounds good.”
“Okay,” He
breathed looking into her dark brown eyes, “we’ll start slow.”
She wasn’t sure what she was talking about so she just agreed
and then Hank understood his own double talk, “Only light things on your bad
arm. You can do some minor stuff with
your mutant ability if you want, but I suspect you’ve been doing it anyway,
haven’t you?”
She blushed and
nodded with a guilty look on her face, “Yeah, I’ve been bad. Also I always propped myself up with my arm
too.”
He sighed and
shook his head, “What am I going to do with you, Cindy?”
“Love me?” she
suggested innocently, earning another sweet kiss.
He sighed and
said, “Well, I guess I’ll just have to…now won’t I?”
“I hope you do
it with a little more enthusiasm than that,”
she muttered blushing slightly.
He leaned so his
face was brushing against her and his eyes spoke volumes as he replied, “I have
more than a “little” enthusiasm for you, my dear, don’t you worry.”
Her blush
darkened and she kissed him more passionately than before, oh how she loved
kissing him. She loved how her tongue
would caress his canines…his sharp fangs.
How his mouth would taste sweet….
“Oh, I have
something for you, for lunch,” she said breaking away suddenly.
“Really?” he
asked not caring, pulling her into another kiss.
“Yes,” she
mumbled knowing that waiting was becoming more and more futile, “I need to go
so you can work.”
“I don’t want to
work,” he growled pulling her closer to him so he could kiss her neck and she
shivered with pleasure.
“Yeah, I know,
but Jean will be coming in for her…” he kissed her so she would stop talking.
“Well, I can
always come back later,” Jean replied from behind
Hank.
“Hi, Jean,”
Cindy called out cheerfully.
Hank
straightened his lab coat and cleared his throat, “Hello, Jean, I’m sorry for
keeping you waiting.”
“Oh, don’t worry
about it, it was rather cute,” the red head said with
a grin and looked at Cindy, “You were great last night. I had no idea….”
Cindy knew
instinctively what Jean was alluding to and nodded, “Thanks.”
“I’ll see you
later, right, pet?” he asked looking down at her, she
grinned and nodded.
“Of course,” she
said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, “Bye Jean.”
“Bye!” the red
head called out to the petite Asian woman who disappeared out of med bay.
“I am sorry for
keeping you waiting, Jean,” Beast said as the red head settled herself on the
examining table.
“Don’t be,” Jean
Grey replied with a wave of her hand, “You know she really loves you? More than that Trish woman ever did, you were
never this happy with that bitch before.
With Cindy…you don’t care about anything…you
lose yourself in her and she does the same with you. It’s cute, I love to
watch you two together.”
“Yes, I um had
that realization last night when Trish was there…” Hank was flustered he was
never used to so much attention.
“I’m glad,” Jean replied with an easy smile, “You two are perfect
together.”
“Thank you,
Jean,” he muttered, “So ready for your lesson?”
“Yes, yes I am,”
she said and they both went into his lab to do some work.

“Baby?” Cindy said
softly as she knocked on Hank’s office door.
“Hi,” he was
behind her and she did not jump, she turned around and smiled up at him, he
clucked his tongue when he saw the heavy burden she was putting on her arm and
he took it, “what did I tell you?”
“Sorry,” she
shrugged, grinning up at him, “come on let’s eat.”
They entered the
office and she waited for him to take a seat with the basket on the table. She quickly took things out of it, before he
could say anything. He perked when he
saw the dessert, along with the twinkies but she put
them in the fridge.
“I made some
pasta salad, lemon-herb roast chicken, and tiramisu made out of twinkies…oh and twinkies in case
you don’t like the tiramisu,” she said and he grinned at her.
“Twinkies, I
love them almost as much as I love you,” he was excited and touched that she
would go to so much trouble for him.
“Good, I would
hate to be jealous over a food product,” she said, “I brought some sparkling
grape juice. I couldn’t go out to buy
the wine like I planned.”
“It’s all
perfect, everything is,” he said and pulled her to him, kissing her softly.
“I love you too,
tiger,” she mumbled against his lips, “I love kissing you…I can never get
enough.”
“I would have to
say I agree with you,” he replied, her stomach growled, and he chuckled, “let’s
eat. Can’t have my favorite patient be
hungry now can I?”
They ate
together, the meal was great, but mostly they enjoyed each other’s
company. When dessert time came around,
Cindy was grinning. She gave him a slice
and she had some of her own, but before he could move she took his fork, took
some, and fed it to him.
“So? What do you think? It’s okay?” she asked uncertainly.
He moaned softly
as the coffee flavor burst on his tongue, he took her fork and fed her as
well. She in turned sighed with
pleasure, yeah she was good, “I should be feeding you,
love.”
“We can always
take turns,” she said and he consented so they did just that, enjoying the
sweet Italian dessert.
