Summary: Scully wants answers.

Don't ask why.  Ask what God wants you to learn from it. 

What am I going to learn from this, God?  What all-important lesson are you 
trying to teach me?  What could be so important for me to learn that Mulder 
had to be taken?  Why do you leave the possibility of my child being 
fatherless? 

Oh, wait.  I need to rephrase that. 

What is my child going to learn in not having a father? 

I've come up with a few answers. 

I'm learning that it's very hard to function without Mulder.  I've learned 
that I need him. 

I don't really know what you're trying to teach me.  Maybe that the reason I 
feel so alone right now is because I never opened up to anyone but Mulder.  
But maybe it was because he was the only one who understood me.  Ever think 
of that? 

I don't know why this is so important.  In the grand scheme of things, no one 
is never going to know whether one man was taken or returned.  So why not 
just give him back? 

I don't understand what lesson my child will learn from not having a dad.  
Except maybe that he or she will learn what lonliness is. 

I've asked you this in the right way, God.  But I still don't know your 
answers.  Maybe that means the lessons learned aren't important.  Maybe 
that's not the way I really should ask. 

So if you won't tell me what I need to learn then at least answer me this one. 

Why did you take Mulder?
