EverDragon Beliefs

EverDragons are guided by one basic belief:
"Gnothe Se Auton" which means Know Thy Self. For if you do not know yourself how can you know others? Be true to yourself and the people around you and follow your heart with honor and with joy in what you do."

You will however find that oiur members fall into one of four codes of belief within this Belief:

Order:
This belief system is for those who believe in order and follow a strict and honorable code. They will tolerate others who follow other belief systems only because they believe they must for the good of all. The followers of this belief will help others even if it means their death without a hesitation. The followers of this belief system usually are clerics and paladins but other classes have chosen this belief.

Self:
This belief system is for those who follow their own paths. To followers of this belief they follow a code called The Self. This code dictates their life and it means the follower is out for themselves and no one else in a mercenary type of conduct. They will run if they are about to die and will not fight unless the odds are in their favor or if they are confident of winning. Rogues and some warriors usually fall into this category. Usually wizards and magicians are more likely to follow this belief system.

Neutrality:
Those who follow this belief system belive in neither chaos nor order but in a Balance. Unlike Order who mearly tolerate those who follow the other belief codes, neutrals honestly believe that the world can not exist without a balance between all beliefs. They are as likely to sacrafice their own lives to help another as those who follow order but just as likely to save their own skin if such sacrafices dose not further the Balance. In addition they may commit an act of chaos if they believe it will further that Balance. They can be as self serving as those who follow the Self code as long as it either serves or does not jepordize the Balance.

Chaos:
The followers of this belief system follow a code similar to that of the Order but it is reversed in its intent. The followers of this belief work to undo Order and sometimes will work with Neutrality to get their way. While they are not absolute evil, they can be considered evil by their lack of morality towards other beings. To see another being killed means they can finish off the killer who should be hurt and loot the one that was killed. They do have a honor system but it is not as rigid as that of Order. They want to rule the world (some the world AND Planes) and anyone not with them is against them. Their honor will withstand working with those of Order and Neutrality for the greater good of the guild but only if it allows them to become more powerful. Necromancers, Shadowknights, Warriors, and castors can be found in this belief.
