While sitting down at the bar Ilboris pulls up another stool for the bar owner Lady Jade and buys her a mug of ale to share the tale of his. She accepts and sits down eagerly.
"It was late the other night when I was passing through Oasis on me way to Rathe Mountains when I saw it."
"Saw what?" Jade asked.
"I saw the new giant who had taken home in the Oasis. He was a big fellow and seemed larger then the other sand giant who stood near him but that could have been the heat." Jade nods in understanding. She too had spent long days in Oasis and was glad to get back to her cool Inn and Bar.
"I seen this big fellow beating up on one of the little halflings who was doing her best to kite the bastage. Suddenly she stopped and was not moving and a huge LD appeared over her head. Well now this scared me and I watched as the foul thing hit her over and over." A crowd began to stand around the table and ahhhhed at the tale.
"What did ya do Ilboris?" Lady Jade asked with a twinkle in her eye as Ilboris bought another round.
"Well, I was not gonna let the poor lady die even if the gods had put some kind of paralysis on the little thing. I ran over to the almost dead giant and began hitting at him. Many times I missed him but eventualy a crowd drew near and began to help me. This monster was not going down and his hitpoints seemed to go up faster then I could swing me sword."
"Wow you were brave." Jade said. Ilboris puffed his chest out and thumped it.
"Yes, was a brave thing to do. It was not until an hour later when the foul thing had died, and a great shout was heard from all of us who had done the deed did I notice the poor halfling druid lay on the ground, her corpse long gone cold."
A great awww came from the crowd.
The only good thing came from me being able to loot the foul smelling thing that had killed the cute little halfling which surprised me as a many great spells were loosed onto this giant. I left some kind of tunic and a note on the beast for the others who had helped me slay this thing"
"What was the giants name?" A small voice could be heard from in the back.
"I heard some call him Cazel. Yes, it was Cazel. Never had I seen his like before. A dark elf of questionable caste said the giant named Cazel was a level 51 Sand Giant sent by Rallos to train and get the other giants in line for some war against the ogres. I know nothing of this as a follower of Rallos Zek I do not think this is the case. But it is something more have said unto me. So beware children, there may be more of these Cazels walking in the desert of Oasis."
As Jade was distracted by another patron she frowned as Ilboris had disappeared and out the door no doubt. Again not paying for drinks. That Rascal.
